@@guidopasquetto911 I agree man, so many ways the movie could’ve been better. A little extra here, a few touch ups there. Showing the villains being pulled from their universes at the time of their deaths which was in some leaked script or sum shit I read online, it would’ve been cool to actually see this in the movie, not a super important inclusion but it’s the little details that go a long way for me. The beginning sequence with Peter getting into legal action and tryna live his life with his identity now public could’ve been an interesting, realistic, gritty aspect if it wasn’t blown over so quickly. A slow build-up to the main story and action is not a bad thing, and tackling a serious issue like Spiderman’s identity going public and being framed for murder shouldn’t be over in a quick, “quirky 🤪” montage. More fight sequences between Spidey and each of the villains cause there honestly wasn’t enough of Spidey getting teamed up against and fucked up by our Sinister “Five”. Goblin literally did all the work in that apartment fight, I woulda loved to see more Lizard throwing Spidey around, scratching and tearing at him, biting his whole ass fuckin arm like the Troll did in GOW4 or sum shit. They were wasted af in this movie. And everything with Sandman was so unnatural, after just being pulled from his own universe, his reaction is “not my Peter? Huh strange, yeah sure I’ll help you 🥴”, and his reasoning for fighting Spiderman is even more ridiculous. All cause he wants to go home, but he’s fighting the one person literally trying to send him home. Makes perfect sense 😂 I love the movie cause it genuinely feels the most like a Spiderman comic book out of any previous MCU Spiderman movies, and MCU movies in general. It was a lot of fun and a lot of fan service I appreciated and geeked over, but after watching the film in cinemas the first time and watching it a second time on its digital release, the problems are glaringly obvious.

It's what I love about the various Spider-People crossovers we've gotten over the years. Few alternate universe team ups work as well as the Spiders working together do because of how similar their stories are and how usually isolated they are from the other heroes in their own universes. Suddenly they're with a team of other Spiders who *just get it* and understand what each and every one of them has gone through and what it means to do what they do. Look at Into the Spider-Verse for example, when they're all describing who it was that they lost to Miles. No matter the universe, the Spiders stick up for one another when they meet.

Another moment that I liked where Ned Leeds was asking Tobey Maguire if he had a best friend of his own and he explained about it and Ned Leeds was looking at both Tobey and Andrew Garfield, and then later on Ned types on the computer and looks at his Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and walks away nervously and promises him that he will never become a supervillain and trying to kill him and Andrew proudly nods at Ned Leeds giving him a pat on the back, the audience in the theater erupted in laughter. Another one which I thought is a great moment is where Ned Leeds is asking Peter to do something on the computer and all three Peter Parkers did the pointing thing

Here’s my experience with this movie: Saw this opening night with my sister and she is a massive fan of all the spider-man movies. She did’t know the multiverse stuff so she was genuinely taken aback when the villains(and spider-men) came back. When I asked what her favorite moment was I’ll never forgot what she told me. “It was when Tobey met Doc Ock. He wasn’t speaking just to Tobbey but all the fans who grew with him.” I’ve never seen her so emotional over something. It truly showed me how much care and thought was put into this movie speaking as someone how only watched Tom Holland movies in theaters. When I also asked her what her favorite Spider-Man was she told me Tom Holland’s. Her reason? “He reminded me of you.” She even jokingly called him “the superior Spider-Man” she doesn’t read comics but it got a chuckle out of me.

the thing that I loved the most about this movie is that they made the 3 have a sibling dynamic. it manages to give them an identifiable dynamic while at the same time giving us something we've never seen before in a Spider-Man film. Tobey - The Oldest Brother (supportive, caring, always offering advice) Andrew - The Middle Child (overly excited, always joking around, yet somewhat insecure next to his siblings who needs a boost of self-confidence) Tom - The Youngest Brother (wide-eyed, naive compared to his siblings, who by the end of the movie in making his new suit, creates a new image similar to that of his brothers like how he's looking up to them) and yet none of it feels like a tacked-on dynamic. it's just their normal personalities bouncing off of each other, which is why it's so perfect. all 3 Spider-Men fit so cleanly into that dynamic that it almost feels like this was always the plan (even though it clearly wasn't).

But in this instance, with Tony gone and all sorts of other things alluding to Osborne, he might begin to make some moves to put himself in that position in the MCU reality. . Part of what I really love about this movie is that not only is this a huge turning point for MCU's Spider-Man, but it also acts as a proper conclusion to the two Spider-Man movie franchises that came before it. Both Raimi movies and Webb movies were unable to have proper conclusions to their stories, but this movie really gives closure to both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers. That despite how Spider-Man 3 ended, Peter and Mary Jane did get together in the end, and now, years after the death of Gwen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter is able to move on because he saved MCU MJ. I think anyone who loves either of the previous franchises can enjoy this movie, even if they aren't fans of the MCU.

This was just pure fan service but it fan service done right! Liked how it wasn’t a competition between all the Spider-Men and they genuinely bonded. They managed to pack so much stuff and Andrew definitely stole the show but they still remembered it was Tom Holland’s movie. They respected what came before and used it the help further Tom’s Peter Parker. Now no longer a spider-boy but truly a Spider-Man. I personally related to his Peter Parker the most(for various personal reason I will not go into), but man it REALLY resonated with me on an emotional level. Will also will say seeing this without the theater audience is both weird but also relaxing as I can appreciate all the finer details. Edit: For example According to the official script of the movie. The old man at the end in the coffee shop is initially meant to invoke a Stan lee cameo. With it outright saying “A Stan lee look alike?” which ties perfectly with MJs feeling of recognizing Peter but not knowing why. Could you image if Stan lived to see this movie?

When Hermione erased her parents’ memories, it also erased evidence of her existence among their belongings like pictures. my theory is that uncle ben divorced may and left them. Nothing states he is dead. Homecoming just mentions "everything she been through". My main evidence is that fact that ben isn't buried next to may. There is no tomb for Ben
@iloveentertainment
@iloveentertainment 2 жыл бұрын
I also wonder if Aunt May had not yet met Uncle Ben but the “everything she had been through” is referring to her sibling (Peter’s parents)’s deaths. It might also explain the reference to “it’s just you and me”, and why she had to be the one to say the “great responsibility” line because there is no uncle ben in existence. If Uncle Ben is still alive and it was a divorce then I wonder why Peter never references him? So, it seems more likely that he is either dead or non existent in the MCU. 🤔🤷‍♀️
@bryzantine1571

@@iloveentertainment didnt even think about that. I like your theory. That means they would have to change May relationship with peter dad/mom But the suit peter wears in homecoming is uncles Ben and the briefcase from far from home has ben initials. Could be it was a messy divorce and it even hurt peter so he doesnt bring it up. It makes may a better character because may isnt even related to peter by blood. Just through marriage

@@bryzantine1571 i like your theory too. It will be interesting going forward if ben suddenly appear back into his life, and we find this was the case. But even with bad divorces, I would think perhaps we would have seen him at her tombstone? In any case, I like that we see full circle of “aunts come in many forms” from civil war. It disappointed me that they killed her off just as she was getting interesting!

I believe the spell also affected technological and physical information about Peter because otherwise the spell to make everyone forget who Peter Parker is would've been pointless, if there was still information on Peter out there. Also, Eddie/Venom was the smartest "villain" lol He chose to learn about the new world before jumping right into it lol

Spider-Sense I've always viewed as multi-verse level muscle memory (ie: how Venom's memories are tied into the multiverse right now) -- Like when you're about to walk into an obvious boss arena in a video game... you don't know WHAT it is, but you know what's coming.

What I love about the "My Back" scene at 19:40 is that it's a callback to Spiderman 2 where Tobey screams "IM BACK! IM BACK!" when he gets his powers back after experiencing his web block, but then falls onto a car and starts saying, while in pain, "MY BACK! MY BACK!" It's the little things that make me love this movie.

I gasped very loudly at the theater when Andrew popped in. Apparently I was the only one cause most of the audience were young and never seen the other Spidey movies. Someone loudly asked, “who dat?”

Charlie Cox said he was disappointed the audience didn't react to him during the premiere, and while my experience in Ecuador was mostly the same, he would have been happy to know that my sister and I freaked out when we saw him. Particularly my sister who is a huge daredevil fan and spent the next ten minutes of the movie giggling and whispering that daredevil was back.

I genuinely think this was an even stronger performance of William defoe than the first movie even with obviously less screen time. He was just so damn good every second he was on the screen

I love how literally all of you were trying so hard to not just bawl like babies during "the Roof" scene. When I watched it theaters the Aunt May scene wounded me but the Roof scene was like finishing me off. I couldn't hold it back anymore. I found that people around my age that grew up with Tobey all had a similar reaction.

I saw this movie in theaters four times. I haven't seen any movie in the theaters more than once since I was a child. It was insane, almost irrational how good this was. There's nothing I can say about it that hundreds of other people haven't already said. It's a masterpiece. It's a literal miracle of a film. And it was treated with such incredible love and effort. There's really nothing better than going to the movies and realize that you're seeing something truly special. I hope the directors and actors and everyone involved in this knows how much magic they made with this movie. The MCU has rarely disappointed, but with this they stepped their game up tremendously. I never thought anything would top the hype of Endgame, but this did.

@@Billyregin You can hate if you want, but 1) being a masterpiece doesn't mean it has to be perfect; the history of cinema is littered with so-called "masterpieces" that have a good amount of flaws; 2) I could count the number of bad MCU films on one hand. For a series that spans upwards of 25 movies now and multiple TV series, to only list a few movies that are sub-par (and none of them, btw, are bad at the level of some awful superhero movies we've seen like Fant4stic or Spawn or Suicide Squad). For as much as people like you love to call the MCU overrated or complain about it, the fact is that they're quality, to the point that even their duds are still entertaining. And yeah, this movie was glorious, I will die on that hill.
@Billyregin
@Billyregin 2 жыл бұрын
@@Kira1Lawliet 1. Which is a why word like masterpiece shouldn't be thrown around so much sport. As you prove here. This is the problem. You liked this movie, so that makes it a masterpiece. Because of people like you, any movie is now considered a masterpiece. 2. Theres 7 legitimately awful MCU movies. More than one hand, unless you've got deformed hands 😂😂. And then there's so many "meh" ones. Average at best. And the shows. My God. The shows are their true failure. Loki, Falcon and winter soldier, and hawkeye are all terrible. Ruins the characters we liked, made only to be woke and progressive. Which is something to praise about No Way Home! It never tries to be woke. It just tries to be a good movie. It definitely deserves praise for that. Shame the rest of the MCU just wants to be woke
@Kira1Lawliet
@Kira1Lawliet 2 жыл бұрын
@@Billyregin Wow, you really are a Marvel hater. Must be a sore DC fan. 1) My whole point is that "masterpiece" isn't the same thing as "perfect." That has always been the case. There were "masterpieces" back in the golden days of cinema, and those movies weren't perfect either. A movie doesn't have to be perfect to be a masterpiece (after all, there are almost no perfect movies), it just has to be massively influential, beloved by a majority of people, and exceptional on a technical and narrative level. Which this movie was. All the arguments you're making are nothing but projection because you just don't like popular movies. If you lived back in the 1970's, I'm sure you would have said Star Wars was just "okay" and not worthy of being called a masterpiece either. 2) "Theres 7 legitimately awful MCU movies" Then name them. " Loki, Falcon and winter soldier, and hawkeye are all terrible." Loki was good. Not a masterpiece, but certainly good. Falcon/Winter Soldier was decent, but not great. And I won't argue with you on Hawkeye. But none of those disprove my point that on average, the MCU makes quality superhero films. "Ruins the characters we liked, made only to be woke and progressive." Ahhhh, there it is. I had a feeling you were one of those types. Well listen pal, Marvel has been "woke" ever since it's founding. Being inclusive and progressive is nothing new for the company, Stan Lee championed all of those ideas himself, right up to his dying day. So if you're one of those people who just likes to bitch about women and minorities getting cast in superhero flicks, then I've got news for you, you're just a poser and the original creators of these characters (like Stan) would be disgusted by your attitude. If all you have to say is that MCU movies are "woke", then it's clear you aren't coming into this conversation with any arguments of substance. The fact is, people love MCU movies, and they keep going back again and again, so eat that.

One of my favorite theories about Peter Parker being forgotten is that he does exist everywhere but nobody can remember him. Something like Noragami and the way people in that show can onteract with spirits and gods when directly addressed but will immediately forget they exist or that they ever interacted with them and will look right past them. In a way that they cannot register the gods. And Peter's memory is like that, people who interacted with him did interact with him but can't recollect him. Maybe now he's just a vague presence in their memory up until the spell that doesn't ever seem to fully fit in. I don't think I'm making sense. That way he has public records but they are unusable because people will overlook them and now he has to get the diploma again. So he can use his social Security number because he is actively bringing attention to it but not much else.

The theater experience is the best way to see movies like Spider-Man. KZbinrs need to make some money. That is why some people wait to see it later for reaction videos. I could not have the patients to wait for months to see a big block buster movie. Bravo and well played to the fellas that didn’t see it in theaters and I’m happy that they didn’t get the movie spoiled. Social media normally spoils a movie if you don’t see it shortly after it comes out. Great reaction video.
