@@joshmuz9018 wow, we must both have a lot of spare time. HEHEHE yeah, I like Shawn and Troy's vids are very interesting. Yngwie always amazed me for his speed and clean sounding picking. So many great players. I'm just a little above average, I think. Not a Shawn or Malmsteen. I think I can outplay Clapton, though. :) Or Gary Richrath. Oh, especially Kirk Hammet. hahaha well, Kirk is okay but not great at all. Gary Moore, Holdsworth, Gambale, Joe Pass, Tommy Emmanuel.... I'd say those guys are great. For his time, Hendrix was great. Beck was pretty great but more in an odd creative, musical way. Not technical so much, imo. Eddie was great for the time/genre. Guthrie Govan is pretty amazing. Eric Johnson is great. I'd say Brian May is great in a certain way. But for technique and musical knowledge, Holdsworth and Gambale are insane. Too many to even hear in a lifetime, I think.

:29 ah, solves the problem of syncing to the backing track. Just do the intro solo as a stand-alone then do another filming with click track and backing. that's probably the best idea to keep from having a timing weirdness in there.

Y Lustig back then I was using a DSL40 on the clean channel with a JHS Charlie Brown and tubescreamer - that’s half the recipe but you need a tape delay and plate/hall reverb to get the ambience

Good job dude. Most guitarists butcher Cliffs of Dover. They have no idea how much thought Eric puts into his scales and modes, picking (economy and alternate) and his 5 note, 6 note and 4 note 'mash-ups' ... that's only one of the ways he gets his sound. The other is in his software/equipment/effects. He never gives out those secrets, but they are precise enough that his tapped harmonics even out-do Eddie Van Halen's as far as perfection is concerned. A lot of guitarist don't understand that Eric is a HUGE fan of Yngwie Malmsteem and if you don't know your diatonic scales, you'd better learn them, along with your Harmonic minor modes (altered-dominant 5th).. which people like to call "Phrygian-Dominant" for lack of understanding. Eric is very much an Yngwie clone, yet he manages to pull of an original sound. This isn't a put-down. We are ALL clones of one kind or another and we've ALL had guitarists that influence us much more than another.
