"Its like a piano player" .. Well Eric Johnson is a piano player who composes his guitar stuff on piano a lot. He transposes from piano to guitar,.

It's one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. High-energy, motivating song.

People that can play that “fast” are the rarest of the the rare. There are only about eight in my lifetime that could and four of them have passed on. Eric Johnson is one of the eight greats. And if this instrumental won him a Grammy and a spotlight on Guitar Hero (same instrumental). This man deserves respect because he is incredibly talented. Great reaction and the awe on your faces. Have to mention this video (awesome close up of his fingers of fury skills) was in his hometown and before the show he went back to his old high school and took the marching band jacket he is wearing to this show. Pretty cool. And the jacket actually looks great on him!

That's the one on my Playlist. Him "tuning" his guitar as a beautiful segue into the actual song.

Eric Clapton, speaking about Jimi Hendrix, "He made everyone there who didn't play guitar want to start, and everyone who already did, want to quit." This clip of Eric Johnson has a similar effect.

It really does sound like a piano! I’m a guitar player myself but never thought to describe it in that way. Well done!

Be sure to check out Eddie Van Halen playing “Eruption.” This is just an otherworldly performance by an extraordinarily talented man. Eddie passed away in 2020 from throat cancer and the world lost one of the greatest guitarists to ever live. You must watch this performance in order to appreciate how great he was. Also, you absolutely must listen to Pink Floyd’s Pulse concert performance of “Comfortably Numb” from 1994. David Gilmour’s guitar solo is considered the greatest solo of all time. He puts so much emotion into his playing that you become one with what he’s trying to express. Be sure to listen to the 4K version to hear his entire solo and to also have the clearest video experience of the concert performance. Plus, another guitar solo experience is Chicago live at Tanglewood 1970 to hear “25 or 6 to 4” and watch the late great Terry Kath lay down a solo that will blow you away. Jimi Hendrix considered Terry Kath to be the best guitar player he’d ever heard. When Hendrix was once asked by a reporter what it was like to the best guitar player alive, Jimi responded “I don’t know. Ask Terry Kath.” Terry’s solo during this song is just a sample of what he could do in his sleep. He was one of the most technical players as well as shredders-wailers that ever lived. He also had a great singing voice. Terry is greatly missed from the music world.

@@DyceReacts Oh, how could I forget ? If you like the blues then you must check out Justin Johnson. I don’t know if you’re familiar with him, but if anyone was born to play da blues then this is the man. He has hundreds of videos on his KZbin channel for you to pick through. He is an impeccable player and his acoustic guitar playing is as great as his electric guitar work. One video in particular that you ought to check out to get a flavor of the man is “Crankin’ Up The Three-String Shovel Guitar.” I guarantee that a shovel never sounded like this before !
