0:26 - 0:29 is at my high school. Sinclair Secondary in Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Yesterday they finally capped the ledges. All these years later. That's the most famous spot in my town. Me and the boys from the local park are gonna go late at night and pop em off and make it skateable again. THUMBS UP for sticking it to the man and never admitting defeat!

I'm 14. Lol it's about time someone said something. I skate for the fun. But 3 months ago, I broke my ankle. But for some odd reason, even though I couldn't skate and will never go pro, I realized I did it for the fun. So now when I look at my board, I say, " Today's gunna rock." Thanks to that momentum, I'm gladly trying to hit it up with a music career. And still have my board beside me. So to all the kids reading this comment. Be happy with it. Cuz' if you do it for money, you'll hurt. BAD.

dude, I remember back when I started skating in 1999 or 2000... we didn't skate to be good, I didn't even know you could get good...we just had fun building ramps and shit in our front yard having fun. I gave skate lessons to a kid that said he wanted to get good and be a pro and enter contests, he ended up quitting after two weeks because he wasn't getting instant results...shit just wasn't like that back then.

look up rodney mullen's "The Art of Good Practice". He's a living legend. With almost 40 years of skating, only this man can explain the difficulty and fame of skateboarding like no other.

the stuff in this video is mostly just eric goofing around, but it's still really hard. you get famous by having a big bag of cool tricks, and having great style. being friends with teamriders could get you a spot on the team yourself. the thing is, you have to have creative tricks that are jaw dropping, plus a good style, and being a friendly guy will certainly help. you get more sponsors and therefore more money and fame if you get a lot of coverage
