Ed van Esch tbh honest there are greats like those u mentioned as well as others like Thomas Lang amongst others,I’m not even saying Eric is better than a Vinnie or a Thomas But I believe Eric is the smoothest drummer out there and he is lighting fast I mean I don’t see many drummers touching him even those greats we both mentioned,Nah Eric has his own unique set of skills he brings and he is one of my all time favorite drummers and that’s saying a lot because I have many that I absolutely love in my lifetime so for only hearing of him in the last tear or so yeah he’s bad to the bone!!!!!

Eric's better than them all in a lot of ways. Consequently, he's gonna be swept under the rug by the industry for as long as possible because he's clearly outshining the drum industry's most celebrated drummers, and it's in the nature of those in power to not want the status quo to change. Even though Eric's been in the game for a hot minute (Drum off champion 2003) and has been gigging heavily since, he comes from a church background which means the drum industry didn't raise him.

U can see he how much Ronald Bruner influences him. They are good friends but I feel Eric bites a little too hard off Bruner sometimes. His entire set up now a days looks more and more like Bruner, not this particular one but when he has the whole kit the way he positions the small Tom in front of the other rack toms is def a Bruner thing and Eric even said he went to burners solo album release show and was absolutely inspired by Bruner and the music and everything. And with that bandana it reminds me of Bruner all the way. Lol. But it's prolly just me but Eric is a beast and nothin but respect.

deadboy600 its all preference and opinion at the end of the day but Bruner is more original and a better more creative drummer imo. Listen or watch Eric’s post what he thinks about Bruner. I mean biting off Bruner was something I noticed but I could be wrong there. But there’s no denying Bruner is a monster and Eric is inspired by Bruner. He even said he got mad inspired after watching Bruner play at his solo album release show. Eric is a cool ass dude and humble dude.

Andy Ham they both have different styles eric is clean and mostly precise, while bruner is sloppy but amazing at the Same time eric is smooth while bruner is rough and wild.

Brunner has a way more 70s program set up Eric has a more modern setup also when u get this good all u can compare him too are other killers
