It was good. I feel that Terrence handled it all like a champ. And Eric was very brutal with his honesty but also didn’t hold back in any aspect because it’s the truth. Terrence has to hear what Eric had to say. And believe me it sucks to be told these things sometimes but only because that’s just how society is these days. People are afraid of being told different and are afraid to new ideas based on their beliefs of something they’ve followed for so long. Nobody wants them to come into their house and tell them that the life time work that they put into their career and the dedication they’ve put out could be looked at completely different. Their discipline is completely challenged. People just hate being told different after having done things one way for so long and that’s where it becomes just a sad sad world we live in sometimes.

Eric clearly states this throughout the podcast. When I speak to my grandmother about spirituality and religion, she always uses the base concept or fundamental understanding through Islam. I have to use concepts and words that align with her understanding in order for us to come to an understanding. Our understandings are very similar, however, we use different words and different expressions that represent the same ideas

If you give one person one item, that person will have one item. Similarly, if you give five people one item each, they will collectively have five items. If you give four people two items each, they will have a total of eight items. Therefore, multiplying 1 by 1 does indeed equal 1, just as 1 times any number results in that number.
@youngfreshsandwitch

Assume you had an Apple and I had an Apple. Let’s call your Apple 1 and my Apple 2. If we swap apples, on paper your Apple can still be considered Apple 1 and mine Apple 2 as in math we consider whatever we are counting to be an extension of the number. The Apple is not a physical object anymore it is just a numerical representation. 1 = 1. I believe this concept is what allows multiplication to work as you can move the 1 anywhere and and still end up with the same number. But all apples aren’t 1 to 1. My Apple might be bigger and I’d notice if you swapped them, so let’s say you can’t swap them. That means you can’t move the 1 around and that means order of operations will make multiplication an unworkable concept

@WeWillAlwaysHaveVALIS
@WeWillAlwaysHaveVALIS 12 күн бұрын
Wasn't condescending at all. It seems to me that yourself and everyone else who's professing that Terrance is an genius scholar need to have the narrative that Eric was dismissive, rude and condescending to justify your collective narrative that the traditional academic circles are dismissive of him because they all secretly know that he's correct. And for the record I don't personally think that Terrance is crazy or stupid, but I do think that he would massively benefit from both being taught the areas that he's claiming to challenge to a foundational level and the means of critically challenging his own theories, that way he would be able to present his ideas in a package that would both be more enticing to academics and would get his ideas past the first hurdle of peer review. Think about it for a moment from the perspective of the academics in the context of what I just said, so someone who isn't a part of traditional academia is presenting a radical concept, but rather than showcasing it with hubris they've instead gone through the rigor and efforts to both present it in the format you are accustomed to and has explored the first level of your manner of testing the validity of it. Wouldn't you be more inclined to give that person some time and explore the possibility of a brand new modality VS someone who is just making point blank assertions and expecting you to go along with it? Apologies for both the length and potential tone issues with my comment, I didn't mean any disrespect to you or anyone else, but it's frustrating for me to both see dismissal being treated as validation and equally the potential for a new approach being disregarded because the thinker isn't willing to meet the establishment halfway. Both attitudes end up limiting the chances of ideas being explored properly.

I think the main point where it was trying to make is one that people have made to me. That I come across like I know better than other people when it would only take a few words changed so that people could hear it. So for Terrence, instead of acting like he already knows the answer, wording things in a way so that he presents himself as being more open to what other people are saying instead of being so adamant about what he already knows. He can still be right. It’s not like he’d be saying I don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s like he would be saying, what do you think about this? Inviting. we all have egos.

So do you think quantum physics is false, the large hadron collided lies and the entire quantum field is fake because it goes against common science? People like you with basic IQ are adorable. Einstein one of your scientific greats stated that the knowledge he had came from some mysterious force and most geniuses state the same thing. So in reality it's easy for you to cope with basic non changing science, even if we have devices like the LHC to prove that physics is not what we think and more in line with a simulation of a higher thinking organism. I've known many people like you, you're sensibility and reasoning doesn't allow you to speculate. The very position of being a scientist is to always ask questions and push the limits.
