As a father of two two daughters, it is a great to see a woman up there receiving the championship. NHRA is so lucky to have so many talented women on the track, professional and sportsman classes. The sport is greater for it.

Wonderful speech! An example of how the racers and their teams are human just like the rest of us. As someone who is a fan of all types of Motorsports,NHRA is and has for a long time been my favorite. Truth is, NASCAR should take serious note from these folks on how to answer their quest for diversity. I mean look at the championship winners in all categories.

There is no more a deserving person than Erica Enders. My step daughter knew of Erica in 2005 from a Disney Movie. We were at Englishtown and we saw Erica and my stepdaughter ran up to her. Erica was very polite and gracious. We also got a signed hat. Meanwhile we saw Dave Connolly, as obnoxious as anybody could be. As you know he is no longer racing because he was an a$$.

Sure, Erica's got a great car, a great crew and chief mechanic but we've always noted that it's her reaction times that wins most of her races. If you follow some of the other great women in drag racing, usually their biggest downfall is their reaction times. It's been obvious that Smoke's been working with Ms. Legs on her reaction times and it's paid off in the second half of the year. 'Hope Erica gets another one next year!

It's pretty amazing what she's accomplished since that 1st national event win in Chicago in 2012. She's one of the best there's ever been in Pro Stock. She's not done winning championships. I got to say She looks incredible in that red dress! 😂
