Plus if your child has a mental disorder a hypoallergenic therapy dog would be great for them to build those social interactions better. I think if this robot dog was cheaper it would be a good toy but since it is so expensive it is clearly trying to be a dog replacement which i think yes it can be good for some who just dont have time to take care of a dog.

Not really, you need to give things a long time to settle and for people to relax and get to the acceptance part of guilt. Believe me it's happened to my family (for both cat and dog (different years apart)), it takes a long time, for the cat it was about a year. For our dog, it is still going.

I'd just wait till they are ready for a real dog and then get a real one that can give MUCH more love and doesn't cost that much especially dogs who don't have homes maybe if the robot dog can live as long as a normal dog then it might be worth it but i just think its best to get a real one its just not the same experience i'd literally die for my dog thats how much i love him but i'd never die for a robot with no soul
