Creator businesses (or influencer businesses) are one of the most interesting emerging business models. Traditionally, technology companies would launch a product and then look for an audience. Influencers; however, build the audience first and then launch products later.
Creator businesses can drive incredible revenues and can be monetized in a huge variety of ways. They can advertise like media businesses, sell products like eCommerce stores, build exclusive communities on subscriptions, etc.
Given the tailwinds in the creator economy, in 2022 many venture capital funds raised money to invest exclusively in creator businesses, usually on some kind of income-sharing agreement (ISA). Some of the funds negotiate a % of income over 3 years, and some do as long as 30. Creators are an emerging asset class but some investors believe that the biggest brands in the future will be people, not companies.

Can you do this for a Lead Generation business? A business who generates leads online and then sells them to other businesses on a per call or per lead basis.

@@eric_andrews What information are you looking for or need? Usually these types of business use Paid marketing (some use SEO) to drive traffic to a webpage of some sort. This page usually directs people to either fill out a form (lead) or call a number (lead) and then these companies sell that contact to other businesses. This can be in the form of a network that you sell the lead or call to or you form relationships with businesses (such as a plumber) that buy the leads on Pay per lead basis, a rev share basis, or a combination.
