Shared this on Instagram (@EricArceneaux), and many of you have requested repeatedly that I also repost these IGTV vertical vids here on KZbin as well. So I’ll keep posting these in between the full-production lesson vids, especially during this quarantine time. You can still book one-on-one lessons with me via Skype/Zoom/FaceTime. All the info is on my site www.AApproach.com

Thank you so much for this!! I'm singing some tougher songs at my youth group soon, and really needed some tips on grounding myself and protecting my voice in those higher notes/belting, making sure that every note is sung confidentally with support and power! This is so great. Thank you!

I just want thank you so much for these videos. As a teenager I was known for having a good voice, but over years of smoking and bad technique I lost it totally. Now at 30 I decided during lockdown to try and get it back. I've been doing your work outs every day for a few weeks and not only am I back, I genuinely think I'm better than I was then! I'm singing songs that I couldn't even do at 16! Thank you so much!

When I tell you that I literally... LITERALLY just asked this question as I was going through your previous video. Thank you!! I can do everyone's Warm-up, Vocalization, and Practice to a "T", but when I go to sing, it sounds (and feels) like I never ever learned these concepts. I was giving up, but I am going to push through. I also know its muscle memory and knowing what these things feel like in your body so that you can feel them when you sing. SO, that definitely means I must keep routinely doing this.

Thanks for the demonstration of what practice really looks like. I've been singing for years (with a lot of vocal effort) and recently started to improve my technique, and what surprised me the most was that after I decided I was going to start all over from scratch, I found that "simple things" ( like a two notes song in middle range) demanded me sooooo much physical effort and concentration, just like you showed. I hope I'm doing better now, time will show. Thank you very much for giving yourself :)

Hey Eric.. been using your popular 3 part vocal exercises since I started taking my voice seriously years ago and they are my staple warmups so thank you! ...in one of your videos you spoke about having developed your natural speaking voice and how its has changed over time. I was wondering if you could do a whole video about this please as it would be great to have an in-depth explanation of your journey and some lessons around developing ones speaking voice along side the singing based stuff. Thanks.. blessings and love to you and thanks again for your dedication to helping people with their voices.

I always believed that it was coming from your core space. Strong core, good breathing. I hear many singers trying to sing through their upper body and the sound Nasal and they have sore throats. Teachers used to poke you in the stomach as you sang to see if your breathing and core were on point.

Hi Eric! Thank you so much for your videos I am improving and have been learning a lot from it. I am self taught and a beginner in singing. I have this one concern. Every time I push(use) my abdomen I'm feeling tighness in my throat but I'm not feeling any strain and it even sounds clearer when I record myself. Is the tightness healthy? Typically if your lower head voice notes are very breathy, your body is trying to tell you that you need to mix. Check out this vid kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqrJpZiCgtSKj68

A silly question but do you think it is fine exercising and engaging the solar plexus spot if you have pectus carinatum condition when the ribcage is naturally outwards since childhood, so when I do this exercises it goes even more outwards but it does help a lot for my voice.

Thank YOU for your videos! Now i know a lot of things that i have never been told about the breath technic. I began to do exercises that you give but now i have some questions about it: 1) if i study in operating singing is it possible to use this method of breathing? 2) today i tried to sing at the full voice with a new way of the breath after doing "z" and "ss" exercises and the voice began to sound in another way. The sound is more focused and strong and i like it but at the transition notes i had some problems. I am a tenor and at usual i made covering just aiming the note at the nasal zone. And i understand that it is not correct for professional singing. Today with your exercises the voice is more freedom and full but the way i did the covering does not work anymore. When i try to do this the voice is hoarsely(at the Gb and G) but the solar plexus is working like at the "zzzz" exercise. Please help me if you can what should i do at this situation? THANK YOU !!!
