That knife looks wicked ... Sharpening choils are a must have 100% agree , I just had to add one to my new Brisa Bobtail build. One little change and the knife starts to talk back so much better .

It is surprising how easy many high hardness steels sharpen. I remember the first time I sharpened, actually reprofiled Cruwear at 63 plus I thought there was something wrong with the steel because it couldn't be that easy! I still find some steels like m390 take longer. Both Nitro V and AEB-L are great at high hardness. It also makes a big difference in edge retention.

NitroV, AEB-L and 14C28N are non-powdered steels but steels with a high toughness and the high toughness gives the possibility for a relative high hardness.

Nice job. It seems like a huge jump from 325 to 13,000. So you don't need all that time with the in-between numbers?

It is a huge jump. And I can’t answer that. It depends what you want. I don’t need all the in between. Others may. It depends what you want from your sharpening/user experience.

Pardon me but is this video not about freehand sharpening, as opposed to free hand sharpening? I wouldn't personally be interested because I sharpen my own stuff for free anyhow, but someone might get the wrong idea and hit you up for some free hand sharpening, when all you really wanted was to showcase your freehand sharpening! ;D

Had to look away when you pulled the edge across the stone to dull it, like fingernails on a chalk board. Very cringe 😬
