@your_favorite_ranger im no expert but those wedge sharpeners take some of the metal off the blade when sharpening. Over the long term you will not have any blade left. A wet stone, on the other hand, re straightens the bent/dull blade
@kallistermiller80757 ай бұрын
@@wideputinofficial9094You are completely wrong with everything you just said. To sharpen any knife you have to take material off of the blade. When you need to sharpen a knife, you use for instance, a whetstone to get rid of the old edge and create a new one. The reason why the sharpener shown in the video is bad is because it takes off way too much metal as compared to a whetstone. The only reason it was able to be sharpened quickly is because it took off way too much metal.

I know this is a somewhat odd comment but he reminds me of my late grandfather who left me a really cool looking pocket knife when he died

In a lot of ways I’m just like Chuck Norris. And Donald Trump. And for 72 years old. I am in really good shape. Thank you for watching. Thank you for commenting. Have a great day.

That sharpener is so small, your fingers are in danger when you put the knife edge up.

I use a worksharp guided sharpener at home. I'll never go back to a pull through sharpener again. The edge you get from a proper sharpening set-up is just great.

Sharpening a knife is basic kitchen skills everyone should know. Why is this so interesting to people?
