In my humble opinion, the Ovation sounded better. But I have a horse in that race. I love playing that song, but I have a hard time with the timing and chord change when I get to "and Marie's the name of his latest flame" it's a work in progress

You can try slowing it down singing and playing at the same time to a tempo that's comfortable then you could speed it up when singing and playing the tune at the same time is automatic
