One thing I forgot to mention. For sounds like the Chainsmokers Bass (Fall Bass), it's nice to have the sample transpose but maybe not 100% (key-tracking). You can do that by holding shift (makes bipolar) and dragging the note modulator to the sample transpose. Then you can reduce the modulation amount to reduce how far the sample transposes. Because without transpose, it can sound monotonous, and with 100% transpose (key-tracking), the sample can get stretched too far. This works best for transients without discernable pitches, like the ones in my sample pack

Eric i was wondering, could you breakdown The Weeknds Trilogys sound design?. that album has a luxurious yet dark and mysterious sound. Im pretty sure most of the sounds there were made in a Virus TI too :b

Love how straight forward your videos are. No overly long intro, no unnecessary memes or forced jokes, you don't explain everything 3 times over. Yours are some of my favorite sound design/vital tutorials.

Hi Eric! What you do is really mind-blowing. Could you please make some interesting cinematic drums/hits/percussion? Across the entire frequency range and then update "sounds you know".

Why slide notes doesn’t work properly with vital sound on fl studio
@DibyaTheLearner2 ай бұрын
If you're talking about the sliding note feature in FL Studio Piano Roll then it doesn't work with third party plugins. Atleast that's what I know. So you have to do it inside the vital plugin itself

I have a request for a sound to recreate it’s Nuts - Lil Peep it’s originally sampled from Bright Lights by Force theory. It’s this low distorted synth. I’ve tried to recreate it but it’s really difficult knowing with how unclear the synth is.

Can you recreate the Tanpura or Shruti Box?

@@EricBowman A sample for the onset and a synth waveform for the body of the sound. I thought that was the inspiration.

Is there any way you could recreate the bass from the beginning of Hysteria by Muse? It's always been one of the most iconic sounds in rock and roll intros, as well as one of my peronal favorite sounds.

DAW noob here : how do you usually call the Dispersed Bass? Like what's that bass style's usual name in music production?
@EricBowman2 ай бұрын
You'd usually call that a bass pluck but that's a broad category.

@@EricBowman Sorry i should have been more precise : i meant specifically that very organic sound this bass makes. I've heard this in some songs before. To me it resembles a growl but not really?
@EricBowman2 ай бұрын
@@TSREMYO82 You might be referring to the phase dispersed sound. It's a popular effect nowadays. Like the OTT of the 2020's 😆
