Hello!! I don't speak English very well, and I was unsure; Did you use a studio tone, or is it all 100% synthetic??? Do you think you could create these tones on a good analog synthesizer?? or is it impossible? 😊
@DashGlitch27 күн бұрын
I’m not sure of the question but it’s all made in vital, you can make similar on hardware but most analog synths will struggle with comb filter key track and won’t b polyphonic

Beautiful. I was trying similar - using a comb filter to key track in native bigwig but stupidly couldn't get the keytracking correct - very frustrating - no doubt my stupidity!

I've tried to replicate this or at least do something usable with the noise generators in Phase Plant, but I've been unable to come up with anything usable as a full instrument or that is not easier to achieve using other generators. I hope you do something similar with that.

if you want a slightly more realistic sound you can set the LFO to key track since lower strings are loser and tend to snag when you're using a bow

Really great sound. Comb filters seem like a great sound source. Have you ever heard the song "Howard Jones - I want to get to know you well"? It has a really cool steel drum like rhythmic pad sound in it. When the key is pressed it kind of repeat itself. Do you think this is achievable using the envelope trick from this video? Or any other idea to recreate it? Anyways, thanks for sharing your stuff with us! m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4qWaIqGd6d9f7M

Those kinds of percussive /metallic stuff are often combinations of fundamentals and inharmonic tones, which are best suited for FM and additive stuff, I reckon it's a combination of that and a reverb and or granular stuff?
