I have this meter and generally I was very happy until I noticed that this meter shows completely different values when held in the hand compared to when it is lying alone without touching it. The funniest thing is when the value jumps from 0 (the meter is lying alone) to 150 V/m (the meter is touched with two fingers). I do not know at what point the measurement is reliable and how to use this device in such a case. I wrote an email to the manufacturer and sent them 4 videos with different situations and differences in measurements, but they completely ignored the problem, sending me a PDF with the user manual, the same one that is in the box with the device. They did not write anything about the problem I noticed.

The body's electric field i think interfered with this unit, try taping it to the end of a wood stick.

I tested and compared the old version (RT-100) against other devices and it has it's flaws. Haven't tested this one yet, but I expect similar problems.

The different readings on vertical and horizontal are probably due to antenna polarization.

Can you recommend a rf detector that would be suitable for amateur radio operators to measure rf fields in the hf range to comply with the FCC mandate for rf exposure. Thank you.
