OK I hope you guys read this. I was at Nats with my 14-year-old son who is competing we're walking down to the venue Sunday morning and my son smiles and waves at this woman wearing a TTL T-shirt. We have a great conversation she tells us she watched the youth relay and how much fun it was to see chatted about all sorts of things and then I asked oh did you have a child that raced this weekend? She said yes, my daughter is Paula Finlday! My son had such a fantastic conversation with her. She was so sweet and engaging and congrats Paula we were rooting hard for you we were by the lake on the run. My son was actually trying to give you splits. 😀

When stress is high around races, it’s a tough balance to strike between “being there” and getting content :/ This week I mostly needed to be there and then try to film from afar. Glad you liked it 🙏

Wow. Podium despite allergic reaction - makes my respect even bigger. Great video, especially as you are traveling. Thank you. Been watching TTL videos for quite a while and it was cool to see Paula race in person. I was there to race on Sunday but in the crowd on Saturday and my observation was Paula is a fan favorite. I did think her T1 was a bit relaxed, I was thinking she really has a lot of confidence in her ability to overtake on the bike. Looked for Eric but didn’t spot him. However, came across Holly Lawrence wandering through the crowd on Friday afternoon. This was a great event for age group athletes especially being able to watch the pros in action from up close. Congrats on the podium finish.

Congrats! I had the great opportunity to volunteer for the men’s and women’s pro races. For the women’s race I was on run support and was in a place where I got to watch the bike as well as the run. It was inspiring to see the pros race. My triathlon journey started in late 2020 while watching KZbin videos and then I started listening to podcasts while training. I loved your videos but didn’t think your podcasts would be applicable to an old newbie, back of the pact age grouper like me. I initially started listening for the triathlon tips but stayed for the humor and zest for living that is part of the TTL Nation. It was definitely in a fan boy experience watching you and all the others I have been following race. You didn’t disappoint. Lastly, being from Illinois, I have to apologize for my Wisconsin friends who made you wear a cheesehead on the podium. 🧀😞 The race organizers missed an opportunity with the beer though, they should have used Old Milwaukee beer! Again congratulations.

The review of Wilson park pool is so funny. I used to swim there with my club team in high school for our morning practices in the summer. I have to say it looked a lot cleaner than it ever was when I swam there.

I couldn't watch the mens race but made it down for the women's. Was so excited to see Paula race in person. Then I saw Eric! He pulled up next to me on his bike talking to someone about Paula's race. I was too nervous to say hi to him!

Wow late catching this episode, but although EVERY one is a killer sometimes Eric smashes it out of the park, fab edition with Paula's PTO racing, a little late but I have been commenting on lots of Instagram posts including Eric's Scotland snaps. I am so happy after a TTL catch up it fires me up once more for my own Triathlon journey. Paula being quiet well that's her we love her attitude, she rocks and she rocked Scotland too. And just when we not so great athletes get our hands on the cloud boom echo 3, I detect that On have changed them again? So we will now have to wait for those also, unless Paula can blag me some? Hi love it when you take the time to reply yes they did, and I have a pair but having worn On shoes for ever since the beginning almost 12 years, they often allow us to have what you the very best have, then they go into the lab and begin to reimagine that shoe all over again, I spotted it on her and Kristian's feet and knew instantly that wasn't the boom echo 3, lol. Congrats Paula, well done. 3rd in the PTO Open is no mean feat. Interesting had Lucy Byram not accelerated the bike your run may have been more eventful, which may not have helped your UCI Prep. Always interesting how race dynamics can change things.

Hey there, would love to hear more of the female pros talk about their cycle and how this effects / manipulates their training and how their coaches work with them in it. As we know through all the research out there and the amazing Dr Stacey Sims the correlation with cycle and performance and training is phenomenal and it’s use as an ergogenic aid 👌
