Trail running now is what triathlon was in the early 90s, fun, exciting, primal..

That was by far your most entertaining/ inspiring video. Wonderful. After 35 years of triathlon, I love trail running.

E & P - I know I’ve said it before but just wanted to reiterate…thank you for making such amazing videos. Eric your talent behind the camera and on the edits is insane. Every time I watch, it makes me want to get back on the bike/in the pool (and also book a flight to Europe lol).

Thank you for sharing this incredible footage of the race course! It was very comforting to know you felt the same pain as a normie also running her first 50k. Congrats on the win and course record - impressive stuff!!!

The algo led me to stumble upon your channel years ago because it presumably believed all the trail footage I was watching would be a great crossover to what became That Triathlon Life. Watching this, which is already - in your first attempt - easily one of the most fluent Ultra stories told to date on KZbin, has me feeling like it’s all come full circle with That Trail Life! Excited to see what’s ahead, and personally, while there will be lots of calls for UTMB, WS, etc., I think you do an immaculate job sharing the essence of ultras just like this one. Such a natural and genuine fit. Chance to seamlessly bring a competitive tinge to ultras without upsetting the “vibe” that Paula observed so perfectly on the pod telling the story about the bus ride in and the food after. Congrats on what was totally more than a run! Loved it.

Hmmm, lol well will say this, at least it does not require life time to learn, like down hill mountain biking, and you did leave me in the dust at santa cruz:) however,,,this stuff, really is make for younger ones, I always like analogies, helps me trade, train, and maybe make the correct decision,,,but let's say we are cars, or motorcycle, or even a bike, or shoes, you pick the item, now we have rode, ran , played with this item are whole life, and what ever age you are, that's how old it is, so if you are a car, would it be wise to start putting tons of miles on it, or anything for this matter, I believe this will really cause the item to age fast:) or even worst break down, lol so becareful,,,like mountain biking, think this will break you too, fliming!!! It's your gift, and you can run fast while doing it, and make money:)

Races & videos like this remind me how boring it is living and running in the suburbs of Chicago. I'm so jealous of anyone that can experience these types of trails on a daily basis.

Hi, TTL just caught up with this latest Vlog here in the UK, snow and cold. Great video as they always are, fab work Eric another string to your bow. as all triathletes know, the base training for what we do on a daily basis does allow us to wonder off in some different directions, swimming events, biking events, and running events, the base we carry daily allows us to explore all these different adventure's. its great to see you smashing these trail run races. The off season here now, its cod wet or snowy dark but the adventure we are all on continues. The TTL lifestyle just keeps us all focused and reaching as high as we can. Much love from the UK, David x
