I love watching Ray, especially when you can see a light turns on in someones eyes when he's conversing with them. He brings SO many people to the Lord. Praise Jesus! And Bless Ray Comfort

Ray Comfort is one of the most humble preacher I know. All proceeds of his books go to ministry to spread the Gospel. He could have lived a rich lifestyle and owned private jets like some pastors do BUT he chose a life of simplicity. I believe Ray Comfort is a good example of a true follower of Christ. Life is not about what he desires for himself but to put others first and reach out to save more people. He works hard as a Pastor not to amass wealth but to gain a great harvest for Jesus’ Kingdom. ❤️ Respect to you Pastor Ray Comfort.🙏😊

More like… when we Love and Reverence God… His Spirit will Sanctify us, make us Holy and… we will hate the sin that hurts God and others. I kind of agree. It’s hard to give the full picture of what we are trying to express without using the entire Bible. We were created by God to lift Him up with our heart, words, and actions. We have fallen short. We have followed after our own desires and have sinned against him and justly deserve punishment. But he has not abandoned us but provided a way back. He gave his only Son to give life to love for him again. In this act of love, love for him has come alive in us setting us free from the things of the flesh we love, the things in this world we love, to set us free from sin, death, hell and Satan. We are given new life, a new desire to obey him. Now the battle is within us. Love for God is the Power you’ve been waiting on. The Spirit of God is now alive in you giving you the strength that overcomes the world, sin and death. God in us! God with us! Our Salvation!

@@AndrewL4me hmmm not sure what you’re asking me. I can’t say for sure what “day” my house was built but I can assume a window of time and I can assume it had a builder. That’s logical to me. I am going to have trouble believing something different.

@@mebsteve47 you can go and look up the plans of your house that were submitted with the county/city. You can look up the builders name and maybe talk with some of the people who worked on the house. And you can go and witness a house being built by other builders. Do caves have builders, did God create caves, or are caves created through a natural process?

What if the cave had a builder? What if someone dug it out to build a home? Not all caves are “built” by “nature”. And you can’t “prove” which ones were. You can theorize based on observation but you can’t “prove” it. We can examine the materials of the home, you can show me receipts, permits, tools and provide witnesses but you can’t “prove” it had a builder and you can’t “prove” when. How can I be sure the paperwork and witnesses are accurate, honest and not a conspiracy to deceive me? Logic does demand there was a builder. Why? Because I know a House can’t be created by nothing. I can deny it had a builder but you’d call me a fool.

So many years ago I read David Wilkerson's book, the cross and the switchblade. I also read Nicky Cruz's book, run baby run. They completely changed my perception of God. It showed me that God is truly real.

I came out of an apostate church and was born again. I agree, that being a Christian is both a wonderful comfort and at the same time the most challenging life. I am in love with the Lord, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I am so enjoying, and being nourished by, this exchange between two believers speaking the TRUTH. I know that through The Word and continuous prayer The Lord is holding me in the palm of His hands and in His grace He upholds me in the face of much opposition. Welcome to England. God bless you. This coronation needs concentration on the blessed nature of this event. May it not be obliterated by secular celebration. May the joy of the Lord shine through, out above all. Thank you Eric. Wonderful interview with Ray Comfort : he is humble and clear and kind. I'm constantly challenged by his obedience to the Lord Jesus. He's a gifted evangelist and an inspiration. Thank you for the guests you invite and the value of each conversation. Thank you for the insights into persecution- what you say of the remnant is taking shape. I have been pondering Matt 25:31 in this connection. Sin and the evidences of fruit, sound theology - the fear of God - essential truth.

Thank you so much for this interview. I have always respected Ray Comfort for his insatiable desire to spread the gospel! I am always intrigued by his ability to present the gospel with such logical kindness as he speaks with strangers. I used to be a believer but now I'm not. I'm breathing just fine thank you. We don't need a man-made God, if we learn to deal with reality as it is without the need for a crutch, then we'll be better equipped to deal with lifes situations. It works for me 👍🏼

I would advise you to rethink before it's too late and you leave this life. You have everything to lose in the end. I know where I want to go when my time comes ,and on the contrary my friend, God makes more sense of our existence than ANY Athiestic world view. I have studied. Listened to debates, done research and to top it all, have experienced the Holy Spirit for myself and my life hasn't been the same since. I know joy, peace, hope, and the greatest love and sense of purpose and it is incredible! What do you have but a temporary contentment, absolutely no assurance, no lasting hope or peace? Everything you have now is temporary and I have compassion for you that you have lost something so precious. I dont know what has changed your worldview, but I pray that you will find Him again. He's real and He will always want His lost sheep to return. God bless you.

That's your problem! Any god in particular? Odin, Horus, Zeus, Vishnu? There have been thousands and the one you believe in is probably due to the accident of birth. If you had been born in India you'd probably be a Hindu, or in Thailand a Buddhist, in Japan a Shinto, in Saudi Arabia a Muslim.

Eric continually notes that Faith is based on ACTION...not just words. In many ways, this was what I learned as a Catholic. This obligation is engrained in catholics in childhood.

Okay, before ANYONE yells at me, this is probably only my 3rd, maybe 4th, video with Eric Metaxas IN it, not necessarily all from this channel! I really appreciated the interview, and the bit about David Wilkerson who I knew about as a teenager. We went to see him once in Sacramento, CA. Brave man. Kind of like Ray Comfort! But Eric said that early on. Anyway, great interview!

Thanks, Eric, for having Ray Comfort on. Btw, I don’t know whether you still attend TSC, but Pastor Tim Dilena preached an excellent message last Sunday, March 19th, on Discipleship, and made sure he pointed out that discipleship is not legalism. He has a wonderful series of messages lined up for this year teaching basic doctrines for a Christian worldview. The messages thus far have been amazing, and, I’m sure, will continue to be so, because they are obviously, so obviously, inspired by the Holy Spirit.

I and my husband were saved through his videos. He’s so right. I was terrified of death under a false conversion knowing in the back of my mind it wasn’t real. I knew God existed and knew I’d have to face him. It wasn’t until watching his videos that I saw the depth of sin God knew about me when Jesus died for me. He knew my secret thoughts and intentions. 🎉❤❤❤❤

I recommend the book: The Stairway to Life: An Origin of Life Reality Check by Han and Stadler It confirms the scripture, Psalm 139:14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Most atheists believe that life having a natural origin has been proven. Not even close, they can’t induce the 5 elements amino acids are made of to form a supply sufficient for a single protein to form. When you point this out to an atheist hacking on the Bible, it slows them down. Not saying they will repent, but the discussion isn’t so one sided.

HOW did you determine this Jesus was a historical person? I am not aware of any credible evidence suggesting his historicity.

@@Theo_Skeptomai Even Bart D. Erhman concedes the historicity of Jesus. This objection has not been fashionable since the 60's at least. Josephus, Suetonius, Pliny the younger, Tacitus, even the Talmud testify to his historicity. Those are not Christian sources. So when you say "I am not aware of any credible evidence suggesting his historicity." it means you don't consider ANY of those sources credible? Swallow your bias and do some light reading, you might learn something "Skeptomai". By the way, I see you in the comment section of dozens of these videos. For a person who is not troubled by our "mythology" you seem astoundingly preoccupied with Christian media content.

Ray Comfort has been a key voice in exposing false conversions. People say that salvation is based on either what you believe, a prayer you say or your actions. Which is correct? Are all true or is it something else. Jesus said in John 3 that salvation is what you are that counts. He said that you must be born again which means that you must be born of the Spirit. John 3:3-8. Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Thinking about a false conversion experience always terrifies me because I'm never sure. Well, I am sometimes, but then there are those other times... Fruit. How much fruit? What is fruit? Is repentance fruit? How do I know if my turning from sin was me or of God? What about the other fruits, what if i don't have any of those because I'm home bound and can't experience things like that in reality? I don't have any of those fruits of the spirit that I know of but I can't really feel anything but sorrow and grief. I thank God and praise Him, but I don't feel it in my heart because those emotions are closed to me.

Basically a false convert will have no conviction of thier own sin and sin around them. The good fruit will include repentance and loving what God loves and hating sin. Hopefully this helps a bit

I have the exact same feelings all the time. I’m always worried my salvation was more of emotions and feelings than true conversion especially when I deal with being apathetic sometimes I never truly know where I stand. But I do fear and always asking the Lord to forgive me but I wish I could feel a him or experience Him like others

You are misunderstanding what the Eden passages are illustrating about Humans and their purpose/ rebellion. The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represents the ability to discern right from wrong and make moral judgments for oneself, rather than relying on God's guidance. Eating from the tree represented a desire for autonomy and independence from God, which ultimately led to Adam and Eve's disobedience and separation from God. By gaining this knowledge, they became like God, but in a way that was not intended or sanctioned by God. This act of disobedience and desire for self-rule is seen as the root of sin and the source of humanity's separation from God. It was not a magical apple that suddenly made them "aware" of good and evil. It represents their desire to be autonomous. TO BE like God.

Ray mentioned something VERY important.... People have no fear of God anymore.... I have Christian friends in more charismatic churches and I see this with them.... If you polled atheists about the origins of the universe you would get many different 'opinions'. Atheists don't hold one view on the origins of the universe. For instance some atheists believe the universe has existed forever, while others are of the opinion that everything was there at the beginning just in a different order

(Of course, I'm not happy at what faith-based thinking is doing to my country and my world. But I have a great life, myself.) But even if believing in magic _does_ make you happier, is that all you care about? Just being comforted by a pleasant fantasy, happy with your security blanket like a little child? Doesn't the _truth_ of your beliefs matter at all to you? The truth matters to _me._ That's why I ask for evidence. After all, evidence is how we distinguish reality from delusion and wishful-thinking. But if you _prefer_ wishful-thinking,... well, that's up to you, I guess. PS. No atheist is angry at God. If a person is angry at God - at _any_ god - then they're not an atheist, by definition. They might be angry at what the Christian Taliban is doing to our country, sure. But those are human beings, not gods.

Speaking as a born-again Christian, and a deeply committed one: God is not provable, and He ordained it so. God's methodology is that He can only be discerned by the Fruit of the Spirit of Faith; He is only "spritually discerned." Meditating upon John 2:23-25 may give those able to be spiritually discerning, a main reason as to why. Proverbs 6:16-17a is another "clue." "For so it seemed good in [His] Sight."

Love Ray Comfort and David Wilkerson! I love Wilkerson's book The Cross And The Switchblade. It is so good! Praise God for the method Ray Comfort uses to share the gospel! Love Ray's sense of humor and glad he said he was "born twice". It is so true! People need to be born twice. Jesus is Lord, maranatha! We must all be ready for the rapture, it is any day now! Jesus will snatch us away. I am ex-LGBT, and I know that I would go to hell if I continued in it. I also know that my divorced and remarried parents will die and go to hell if they don't repent and leave the adultery. For now, my Mom is a believer who goes to church and thinks that she and my Dad are going in the rapture. Her pastor is also divorced and remarried. I have a question that I have yet to hear addressed. While we should endeavor to live a life that pleases God (what some call holiness) out of love and gratefulness to Him for His extravagant love and sacrifice, there should also be a recognition that our "holiness" is far from the Holiness of our Heavenly King and Lord. As we endeavor to adhere to external holiness, we need to remember that we cannot achieve complete holiness from the inside out in all of our motives, attitudes, love for God and others, etc. because we still fall far short -- thus we are being saved and always in need of a Saviour. Shouldn't this be kept in our awareness as we communicate the need for salvation to others?

I agree with Ray. Except Sanctification is a process . Am I better then I was in the past absolutely. Do I live perfectly absolutely not. I struggle in this life and I will till I die. The only one that seems to get that accurate balance of that is John macauther, Jeff Durbin etc. although I love Ray comfort. I’ll never be Holy enough. I’m at war with sin daily. I enjoyed this video but I have a question for Ray comfort. If he leaves such a holy life and believes he is a Christian why does he Express so much animosity against Catholicism? Catholics carried the word of Jesus for fifteen hundred years until the Advent of Protestant religions. Is not sharing the word of Jesus to the world the way to God!

Actually, the Roman Catholic Church HID the word of God for 1500 years. That's why the same RCC called all protestants "anathema" or "cursed". That was the whole argument between Catholicism and Protestantism. The only way we still have the Bible was through the remnant (seems like it's ALWAYS a remnant doesn't it?) of faithful preachers and scholars through those 1500 years. Actually, 100 years before Luther came on the scene, another guy got martyred for daring to say that all people had the right to the word of God. Do you know what his name was?* Regardless, the Catholic church STILL dissuades it's congregants from reading the Bible today. It's not the Catholics in the pews. It's the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy he has such disdain for, since they claim to be the only way to heaven, yet damn people to hell with their false religion made up of man made ideas. Just in case we disagree only on what the Catholic church did about the Bible (hide it or supposedly "preserve" it) here's a link that has historic information we can both look at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Censorship_of_the_Bible * Wycliffe was the guy's name I was asking about. Leonard S.: Two points: 1. Pointing out errors in Catholic doctrine is NOT animosity. 2. History in this matter of what is true teaching, is irrelevant . Accurate history simply explains events, but does not tell us whether the actions or teachings of a church were/are justified by God.....right now. Catholics seem to place great importance on its beginning. Yet from the beginning the " church," went in all directions, developing new traditions and teachings. So Leonard which Church DNA do you consider as the true faith? The genealogy of those that lived at the time when there were 2 pope's, in 2 different locations, or only the Roman Catholic pope? Disagreement on beliefs is not hateful or mean as long as they are not personal attacks. I am aware of Catholic teaching as I once was Catholic.....until I read scripture. Not all false beliefs are significant to salvation. But some are. It's each Christians responsibility to seek truth through scripture and the needed assistance and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Where you came from doesn't matter. Where you are today in your beliefs does matter.

I suppose I should’ve heard of this man but I haven’t. And I’m also sort of an oddball I guess, because I also hadn’t heard anything about this ceremony that the entire world is waiting to see about the crowning of King or is it Prince Phillip? But it’s not the sort of thing I would’ve taken much interest in anyway. But I would love to hear this sermon that was so spiritually moving that it caused someone to donate $200.000 & then someone else $100.000. And I’m not trying to be cynical, I’m really not, I’m sure this man is sincere and the real deal. But I will have to admit that I’ve never came across anyone until now, that actually had attained a state of riotous sinlessness, while still in this physical realm, and had the courage to announce it. Seems like that could almost border on being a sin, unless it was true. But thankfully it’s not necessary to get our act cleaned up first, in order for the Lord to hear our prayers, because he didn’t come to heal the righteous, but I believe it does require a fair amount of honest transparency, as best we’re able anyway. But it’s probably seldom perfect even then, considering our human limitations.

A slight correction ……. At a coronation, the king or queen is crowned, not coronated. King Charles will be crowned at his coronation. As in the old hymn, “crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon the throne!” It doesn’t say, “coronate him with many crowns.” Other than that this is a really good interview. Thanks.

The concept of “nothing” cannot have the ability to act, otherwise it would exist as a “potential act” and be one of many things that exist. If the universe came from “nothing” then this nothing would have needed to have had the ability to become the universe. But the concept “nothing” as we previously explained, cannot have the ability to act, therefore, the universe could not have come from nothing on its own. Since there are things that do exist, then “something” must have always existed, because as we just proved, things cannot come from “nothing” on their own. If time had ever proceeded at an infinite rate, which is like fast forwarding through a motion picture, we would not be here today because all events would have already occurred in a single instant. Therefore, time has always progressed at a finite rate and any mathematician can prove that time could never have progressed over an infinite time interval. The proof goes like this, pick any number no matter how great. You can always add one to it and thereby make it greater in value, therefore you can never reach infinity. And you cannot say that all we need to do is to wait an infinite amount of time and then we would reach infinity, because then you are assuming that you can wait an infinite amount of time. However, this is what you were trying to prove and so that is not proof at all. You cannot assume to be true, that which you are trying to prove to be true otherwise you can prove anything to be true, even that which is false. Therefore, time could not have started an “infinite” time ago and therefore had a beginning a finite time ago. Since “something” always existed as we previously proved, it had to have existed before time started. Since space and time are one entity called the space-time continuum as Einstein pointed out, then this “something” had to have existed before space and time existed and therefore caused space and time. Since this “something” existed outside of space and time it cannot be made up of material things, because material things can only exist in space. And this “something” could not be just chaos which has no order, because as we previously proved, something cannot come from nothing on its own, hence order cannot come from pure disorder. Therefore, this “something” had to have had the ability to cause order, space-time, material things, beauty, life, everything in our universe, including our universe and natural laws and rules. Since we call ourselves beings, then we should at least call this “something” a Being, who we call God. Since only God always existed, and the universe is not made of God as we just proved, then God must have created the universe out of “nothing”. Since “nothing” does not even exist, then God must have infinite Power in order to have created the universe from “nothing”. Since all people desire happiness, then God must have created us to be happy out of love for us. Naturally, all creatures should love their Creator. For us to love God from our heart, God had to create in us a free-will, because no person can be forced to love, otherwise this would not be true love from their heart. With our free-will, we can choose to do good or bad to our neighbor and this is why there is sin in the world, because some people have chosen to hate God and their neighbor and are only interested in pleasing themselves. God did not create evil, nor does He desire evil, but he does allow sin to happen because He had to form us with a free-will, in order for us to love Him and others from our heart.

In junior high, I read and loved "Cross and the Switchblade." However, I lived without faith and without God...quite disinterested in religion...until my 40's. When He answered my question, I went out and bought a Bible, read voraciously, prayed continually, and did a constant self-examination with an intent to follow, to the best of my ability, the teaching of Christ. It took years for me to learn about the Protestant/Catholic divide. I was shocked that so many Protestants claimed works didn't matter. I ignored them. I couldn't believe they had actually read the words of Christ in the Gospels. In pro-life work, I encountered many Catholics. Eventually, as I understood the Catholic Catechism, I heard, for the first time in my Christian life, a view corresponding with Christ's teachings. We will never be perfect. Thus...confession, repentence, and reparation. God loves us. And we show our faith and love of God by what we do. Thank you for your reinforcement of this truth.

Anyone who Accepted Christ Jesus is Saved Eric, that's what it Says in the Bible, not of your Works, it's by Grace, it's a Gift of God, So No One Can Boast, Ephesians 2:8-9, As God knows, No one Can Live the Life of Righteousness without Being Saved First, so Christ Can Start working on Us, As In Christ Jesus We Are A New Creation, Only Christ Can Free You, "Who the Son Sets Free, Is Free indeed".

The reason I like the word of God is that it never contradicts. What the interviewee said about the issue of those the true followers of Jesus and those are corrupted is clearly mentioned the below versus of the Quran. Please don't be panic when you see the Quran. I don't blame you if you do that because many who claim to follow it, don't follow it properly. This versus is among other verses praised those who followed Jesus and indicated how merciful they are but Many who try to interpret the Quran claim that "these are in the past and those who lived with Jesus!! Which is not true at all because if that is for the past then why Islam makes a pillar of belief to believe in the books of God. Such as Thorah, Gospel and others...? This is the versus: "Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient" Surah al-hadid - versus 27.

I tried to convince my husband about God building the rivers because we were River Rats floating Rivers all the time. He wasn't buying it but I think it's because he didn't want to get right with Lord Jesus

Ray I'm confused about something... When you say "God is paying us in death for our sins", and then those sins are laid on Jesus when one comes to faith (ie repentance and belief) - why is it that the believer will still die? (ie still receive the wages) Are we still receiving wages for something that has been fully absolved by Christ?

But when you talk to an unbeliever it sounds like you are referring to physical death...when you say "your death will be evidence that God is serious about your sin". In other words, that physical death (and spiritual death) are wages, yet for the believer we still get the physical just not the spiritual death.

Well the Bible does reference a 1st and 2nd death after judgement. The 1st death is a temporary picture of separation from life. God is life and the 2nd death is eternal death. When we repent we do lay our 1st life down as dead. We no longer live, Christ comes alive in us. Love for the Father sets us free from fulfilling the desires of the flesh and from the pursuit the things of this world for our benefit. We live to lift up Christ and to reconcile others with Christ. We are still tempted, yes but this New Love for God that’s come alive in us is setting us free. We do find ourselves dying as we judge ourselves. Death has no power over us as we lay our lives down freely for God and not as payment any longer.

Obviously Charles isn't a Christian. Anyone missing that point, well, they need a helper through life, I'd say. Ray never said Charles was a Christian. He said Living Waters is using this grand royal event that parades as Christian (but is empty of it's reality or power) to get the real good news out to many many people. - That's what he was referring to when he talked about Paul quoting Greek poets in Athens.

@@thecrew777 he referenced that Charles would be holding a staff with a cross on it (paraphrasing) that shows Charles is now head of something to do with Christian faith. That is what I was referring to.
