I was saved a long time ago. I didn't really realize it. I'm not even sure if it took and I had zero assurance until I started watching Ray Comfort Just Witnessing. While watching him witness I came to contrition and was assured in my salvation and I caught on fire for The Word of God and for evangelism. Thank God for Ray Comfort and these methods that he's exposited from scripture.

@@kingdomrunt I'm sorry but this is not true at all and not biblical. Everyone I have ever talked to who is not saved (and half the ones that are) think god is a big ball of love and doesn't mind what they do. People understand grace because they continue to live in perpetual sin, never changing their behaviours to become more like Christ. Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: Others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

@jedimasterham2 he's said many times that repentance is not what saves, he uses the Judge in a court analogy for that, it's just that you can't say you're saved but keep sinning intentionally, your faith is not saving if so. When you believe in Christ it will change you but it's Christ that will save, God will not save those who continue in their sin intentionally, you're either with God or with sin, if the Son therefore sets you free then you are Free indeed from sin

It's been at least a decade since I drove Ray all over town the day of his evening message, and I recall how we had a "spirited" discussion and much of it was rather debate-filled. I recall feeling complimented when he said to me, "I haven't thought of it in that light, but I will have to give that more thought" with reference to some of the Gospel message and how far reaching is it's application. I always loved Ray's humorous saying, *"God doesn't believe in atheists"* in fact, I believe it's the title of one of his books.

If I approach an impenitent sinner someone who's understanding is darkened and say Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins it will be foolishness to him and offensive to him. Foolishness because it won't make sense the Bible says that the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. And also offensive because I'm insinuating that he's a sinner when he doesn't think he is. As far as he's concerned there are plenty of people far worse than he is. But if I take the time to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and open up the divine law the 10 commandments and show the sinner precisely what he's done wrong he has offended God by violating his law The when he becomes as James says convinced of the law as a transgressor the good news of the fine being paid for him will not be foolishness it will not be offensive it will be the power of God unto salvation

Biblical evangelism is always without question, law to the proud and grace to the humble. Never will you see Jesus giving the Gospel, the good news, the cross, to grace of our God to a proud arrogant self righteous person. Now with the law it breaks the hard heart, with the Gospel he heals the broken heart. Why? Because he always did those things that pleased the father. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. The scripture says that everyone who is proud of heart is an abomination to the Lord. Jesus told us in the Gospel the spirit of the Lord is upon because he has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor, the broken hearted, the captives and the blind.

Understand who is talking and who is being talked to. YOU Sean unfortunately break the "Not changing the Word" by taking away. HE said not to add or take away from His Word .. one jot or tittle. AND in this you do ere......... So one example..... why did Jesus say "Go and sin no more" ???

@loriworkman5127 so many gloss over the prayer of repentance that Solomon prays over his people when he finished building the temple. It basically explains how God views repentance. And it includes to live a life of obeying the ten commandments, which another way to put it is turn from sin. When people say repentance is a work you rely on works to be saved. Ask them do you try to obey the ten commandments? They'll either say no or yes and if they say no they admit to not loving God with all heart mind soul and strength. And if they say yes, that means they have turned from sin and are repenting

That man is basically good but for him being a victim of his circumstances instead of realizing that he is utterly depraved, born into sin and in desperate need of a Savior in his standing before God. Ray your message reminds me of Jonathan Edwards’ “Sinners In The Hands Of An Angry God”. Hopefully it will be just as effective in bringing men to the knowledge of their need for a Savior.

+UriYah Ysrayl The law existed long before the 10 commandments were given to Moses. It is the knowledge of good and evil. It's in everyone. All have sinned, even those who had not the "law" that was given unto Israel. Gentiles are judged according to the law in their hearts. Just like Noah, Abraham, Isaac.... who were justified by faith. Read Romans chapter 4. You can ask anyone if they have ever done something they know they should not have done, by the conviction of their own heart. That is a sin, and sin is against God, and the wages of sin is death. The commandments were given to lead our hearts to God, but man failed to obtain righteousness this way because it was all outwardly. Jesus clarified that even though you may have not slept with your neighbors wife, but you thought about it, then you have already committed the sin in your heart. Romans 2:14 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves Mark 2:27 - And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Romans 3:20-31 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. 31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. Romans 10:3-4 3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Ray says that he rests one day a week. He does not hold that it has to be the last day of the week. He does advise that it is not Sunday as that is a very busy day for Christians and is not always restful, but he leaves it to each person's conscience. As did Jesus who never instructed us to keep the Sabbath but pushed back against the Pharisaical legalism around the Sabbath. And the Epistles go further and also don't instruct us to keep the Sabbath but tell us that days don't matter and even that our rest in in Christ, not the Sabbath. One could even say ever day is Sabbath, in Christ! Hebrews 3 and 4 are excellent passages for this. Also check out Colossians 2. And Romans 13. The Ten Commandments were part of the Covenant with the nation of Israel. They are not binding on us. We are bound to Christ. There is nothing in scripture that binds us to the Sabbath.

But it's such a complex answer! One of the things Jesus was accused of during his earthly ministry was breaking the 4th commandment. Jesus repeated 9 of the 10 commandments...except the 4th commandment. The Bible says that the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. But is Sabbath a "law" thing? Sabbath exists even in a perfect world like the garden of Eden, so it predates the "law" given to Moses and Israel. But, as some have pointed out, we are not saved by "keeping the other 9 and breaking one" and we are not saved by "keeping all 10". Paul wrote that the law never paid for anyone's sins. We are saved by the sacrifice of Jesus. Personally (and this is not specifically stated in the Bible, so this is just an "my opinion" thing), sabbath keeping is a very easily misused topic. "Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy" does NOT mean I can go though a list of all the things that I give up for one day a week and then compare it to someone else's list, whether to make myself feel like a great Christian or to make the other person feel like a not-so-good Christian.

Rushia W Yah you got it. People can really forget what Shabbat actually is. Genesis 2:1-3 [1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Jesus warned to beware the leaven of the Pharisees. It wasn’t that Jesus did not keep the Shabbat, it was that he kept it the way it was intended to be kept. The Pharisees added all these other rules on top of God’s law and corrupted it. In contrast, Jesus is incorruptible! We need to remember that God created everything. We need to rest from work and honor God. To remember that all of the pursuits of this life are meaningless compared to God’s glory and purpose. As long as you are doing the will of the Father then you are not breaking Shabbat because you are honoring and remembering God. John 5:16-17 [16] And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. [17] But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. If Ray wants to preach 7 days a week, 24 hours a day then amen! He is doing the work of the Father. Jesus being the fulfillment of the law is in the fact that when he enters your heart he reveals the purpose of the law to you, that we can fulfill God’s purpose in giving us that law. That our hearts would be completely turned to God. So that we obey not out of obligation but out of supplication. The meanings of the law that so many overlooked. We obtain righteousness through our faith in the blood of the passover Lamb. Not in trying to follow the rule of law but the rule of the love of God in our hearts. That’s why the 2 greatest commandments that Jesus gave were to love God with everything you got, and then to love your neighbors in like manner. Matthew 25:34-40 [34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: [35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: [36] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. [37] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee ? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? [38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee ? [39] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? [40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

ROMANS 1:18-32 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

No. It is using the law to prepare people to hear the good news. If you try to give someone a cure for a disease, when they don't know that they are sick, they will think you are crazy. Same thing with people that don't know that they are sinners. You use the law to convict, so they understand that we are all sinners and why we need Jesus. That way they will grab on to the cure, the good news, and understand why they need Jesus

@@jedimasterham2 he does not teach works. He says we can't do anything to earn salvation. When he asks people what they think they need to do and they say repent or say sorry, he says that won't do anything. He often compares it to a judge and someone telling the judge they are really sorry for murdering. If you think he teaches work, you either aren't listening or misunderstood. There are signs of a true conversion. Repentance and godly sorrow for our sins is a sign of salvation. It's putting our trust in Jesus that saves us. Repentance and asking for forgiveness doesn't save us. They are just some of the signs of what happens when someone is born again. Many times the Bible talks about repentance. John the Baptist taught repent and be baptized. the Bible also talks about testing yourself to see if you are in the faith. It also says even the demons believe in Jesus and shudder. Someone who truly is saved will be born again. God gives them a new heart. They will begin to love righteousness and hate sin. They will no longer live in sin. Someone who says they believe in Jesus but continues to live in darkness night not truly be saved. That's why the Bible says to see if you are in the faith. Only Jesus saves, but if you truly are saved there will be signs that follow

@@jedimasterham2 you should talk to the hundreds and probably thousands of people that God used him to lead to Jesus and that are now saved. They would have something different to say about saying he causes harm. Also, all of the thousands of people that he had helped to share the gospel and all of the people that are now born again because of that. How many people has God used to lead to Jesus? You don't have to answer. Ray doesn't need me to defend me. He has helped so many people. You should really pray about what you are saying and ask God to reveal the truth and give you discernment

@@jedimasterham2 I do pay attention to his videos. You should pray and ask God to give you true discernment. I took his basic training course. He doesn't teach anything that isn't in the Bible. Sadly, so many people live their sin and they want to make excuses for sinning. The Bible is clear, if you willingly sin after knowing Christ there no longer remains a sacrifice . Will we never sin, of course not. But we will no longer live in sin. But you have a blessed day. I do pray that you truly are saved and that God shows you the truth. If he preaches a false gospel, then the Bible is wrong. So is John MacArthur, Todd friel, Steven lawson. Also, Paul Washer. They are share the Bible. The gospel . But I'm not going to continue to waste my time on you tube comments. Have a blessed day

It may surprise you to learn that the phrase “Repent of your sins” or “Repent from your sins” is not found anywhere in the Bible. The word of God does not demand repentance from sin to be saved. Biblical repentance is directly tied to biblical revelation. This is not a turning from sin rather this is a changing of mind about who and what could solve your sin problem. Ray in his videos says that believing is a righteous work? This would have to be nothing but confusing to a nonbeliever. the Gospel of John quotes believe over 100 times and is mentioned over 200 times in the New Testament alone. Mainly it's God's will that we believe, of cause just believing without faith and trust in the cross is not enough to be saved but God's gift of Grace responding the call of the Holy Spirit is a done deal. Telling people to stop sinning when we clearly cannot and those that say they do not are lying and have sinned. Believing that we are responsible to keep the Law leads inevitably to the inability to stop sinning. When we disagree with God and hang onto the idea that we must fulfill the law, we lose our joy in salvation and set ourselves up for failure. The only way to break the cycle and stop sinning is to accept the fact that we cannot stop sinning. Christ fulfilled the Law and the moment we come to terms with that we will have joy and peace. Romans 7 seems to be a chapter that living waters seems not to relate regarding its perfect depiction of struggling with the flesh! How would you witness to Paul, would you say to him stop sinning?? He knows his struggle with the flesh. A last thought what about the thief on the cross...HE JUST BELIEVED, he did not have time to discuss all the theological angles he saw Christ in the flesh and believed we see Christ through the scriptures, believe and trust in him, Faith alone, Christ alone! Romans 4:5 “And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,” Romans 4:5 “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.” Acts 16:30-31 “And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (change of mind) and believe in the gospel.” (Jesus Christ) Mark 1:15.

+Fright Nick God sends you to Hell because you've broken God's Law. Good is just, so He must punish sin. Jesus said Hell was not made for man but for the Devil and his angels. Good is also merciful, loving and kind, and relents in doing harm. So how does a just Good forgive guilty Law breakers and still be just? Good so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For Good did not send His Soon into the world to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. For He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed. He who knew no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. You did the crime, Jesus paid your fine in His life's blood. If you repent of your sin and trust in His Son, Good will remit your sins and grant you everlasting life.

Adam was given free will. God made a living sacrifice to atone for the rebellious race by sending Jesus Christ to pay the fine for us. God does not tempt with evil. Repent and believe the Gospel and God will forgive your sin and grant you everlasting life
