The only feature it's really missing is snapshots shown in notifications. Hopefully its something they can roll out in an update and this would be a top tier camera

How has the detection been? My current camera gives me so many annoying false alarms

So far no issues. You just need to play with it and get it calibrated properly with the correct sensitivity. Once I got it set up, false alerts have not been a problem.

Better to stick with known brands. These are cheaper, but for a reason

I gotta disagree on that one. I've used plenty of cheaper / less known products and have had no issues. On the flip side, I've also had many problems with products from well establish brands as well.
