Hi Eric, nice one thx. I have the non-matter version of this outside for some accent lighting and also some of their garden lights. Govee has been my go-to for “easy to set up lights” - love their stuff 👍🏼

The reason why the camera pic didnt work was because you are supposed to capture the image in one frame. Because yiu were too close to yours you had to go up and down which didnt capture the image in the camera frame

Great video Eric, would love to try something like this with my daughter’s room. Have you experienced issues with the matter over WiFi aspect yet? Also, are you continuing your live stream on Fridays?

Matter over Wi-Fi works fine for me with these lights. It is not in a weak area for Wi-Fi if that helps. My stairs are in the center of my home. Yes I will be live streaming on Friday. I ended up with two Fridays off in a row due to schedule conflicts.

Lots of people say it doesn't peel on the wall for long. What is your experience?

I like the Govee products I have, but so much of their stuff is pure “wow value” and I’m still trying to get all the necessary light switches and outlets smart. No room in the budget for cool stuff yet. Maybe one day.

Thanks for the perspective. I agree they are wow value, but I think accent lights like this are sometimes better to automate than main lights. They still add light in the dark but do not remove manual control of overhead lights from people you live with that aren't into smart home tech.

I guess. Govee and Nanoleaf have products more designed for that to actually mimic the colors on the TV. This has Govee DreamView so it should theoretically be able to integrate with any of those Govee systems.
