so in this video you simply replaced the glass screen, a lot of kits come with the actual frame as well. In this video you kept the old frame. Why do the kits come with replacement frames? Is it neccesary to fix a smashed screen?

While they are a bit rarer, screens without frames are still available. The sellers probably glue in a frame so you don't have to bother with doing it on your own but I don't like those screens because you have to take apart the frame from the screen to be able to put the earpiece and the fingerprint scanner. Some phones don't have this problem but the OnePlus 5 definitely does. And no, a new frame isn't required at all for a screen replacement if you're reusing your frame. However if you're going to buy a frameless display, make sure you don't crack the glass at the bottom of the screen near the ribbon cables because it's part of the display and it will kill it. Trust me, I broke a perfectly working screen because of this.

My Oneplus 5 8g ram 128g storage is 8 years old Still has loads of life left in it. It has the keyboard screen burn. Other than that it works like new. To be honest after seeing how difficult it is to change the screen IT CAN STAY LIKE IT 🤣🤣🤣

Please look at 13:17. That's the antenna for wifi. Make sure it connects to the motherboard and contacts with the back cover. Check whether the contactors on this antenna normal.
