IMPORTANT: Put IR sensor that has the LED notification light included. In the video it does not put it, in case of not putting it the facial recognition does not work well and there is no notification LED. In addition, before putting this sensor, there is a white piece (approximately 1mm) that acts as a diffuser, I recommend putting it, since otherwise the led light will look bad.

From what i can tell the replacement screen is a genuine OEM part, milling, markers etc. on the frame appear identical, fits perfectly. Be careful when removing the charging board, mine was glued down pretty well. I've just replaced a completely cracked screen according to this guide, worked out perfectly.

They make this look easy, but is quite difficult. Dont buy the screen only as doesnt fit correctly, so buy with frame attached lot less hassle. The little clips on the white & black cables are very delicate & can be difficult to connect. The back piece replacement didnt come with a fingerprint sensor either, which I will be contacting them about. Apart from that not a bad guide. TY. Goodluck anyone brave enough to try. ;-)

yay just did it myself... i wraped my battery badly because the glue didnt come out properly (flat batery is no flat no more) i lost my nerves by putting the signal cabels backin.... and best of all... i riped the main flex cable halfway throug and it still works?!? am i just lucky or is that cabel not so important ohh i didnt really reglue the hole thing.. i just switched the display, but it back together and let i under couple books for a day ahh im so happy having back a working phone... of to my next project... gen6 ipad :(

It is either the main flex or the USB board got broken. Or they are in bad connection. You can try reconnecting them or replace a new one.

What a complete and utter con trick! A complete strip down of the phone to replace the screen. I followed the video until I realised WTF?1 Only the back, display and battery need to be removed to replace the screen. He obviously does this in the hope that you lose or break a part while stripping the phone down and have to buy the replacement from him!

Wow, wow ! You're making it way more complicated and expensive. There is no needs to change the whole frame ! You can change only the screen.

@@pascals9269 there is another way. Remove the battery, then the screen connector, then separate the screen from the frame with an hair drier and glue a new screen in place.
