This one is actually accurate, thank you.

This was a good and clear video but it left me with one grave reservation: the TINY movement of the chain through the hoist with each back-and-forth movement of the lever. Of course mechanical advantage requires this reduction, but I wonder how much is the efficiency loss in the process and (more to the point): HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE YOU TO MOVE 20ft OF CHAIN THROUGH THE HOIST AT NO OR MINIMAL LOAD? Thanks for addressing this question.

Hello I like your video an i'm looking to get a really great strong hoist to pull a heavy truck out of a deep ditch. So you have any recommendations on what type I could get? Something with a heavy thick chain that definitely want snap into. Thanks for your video

what is a double purpose in a chain hoist, especially a come along or cable hoist? I am unfamiliar with that term and just wondered if you knew what it meant, by chance?

Chain hoist work smoothly. The lever chain hoist is 10x easier to run than a standard cable come along! They are small and very handy! It would be recommended to buy a lever chain hoist and a chain operated chain hoist. Always go higher than weight needed for lifting. It's cheap insurance! But these beat a cable come along most of the time!

Oops I think you're asking what the double purpose part means.

Better to use a bolt type anchor shackle for hoisting, the screw pins can walk out.
@nategibbons17210 ай бұрын
Both type are for permanent applications. Screw in, are four pick and place. If you probably secure the pin, hand, tight and threads fully engaged, it should not walk out on you.

Hey, I'm considering buying a 3 Ton hoist with a 20' lift. I would like to be able to use this in both vertical and horizontal applications. Is that feasible with these hoists or are they just designed for vertical lifts?
@a1930ford4 жыл бұрын
Sadly, I guess this company does not respond to video questions. too bad, as your question is one which I wanted to ask, as well. Thanks for posting it.

Might get a chain operated chain hoist! Theres chain and lever operated. Both and I mean both are great to own. Buy a jet or other chain hoist. Always go to a higher capacity raiting (double it even). Cheap insurance! I believe lever chain hoist work better horizontally. I've used lever ones in all kinds of positions without issues! Buy one of each!

@@a1930ford they do both horizontal and vertical. For vertical a chain fall may be better for you. Don't waste your money on cheap ones they jam all the time get a kito or another reputable brand
