Great reaction! This is my fav cover from him. Just shows all his beautiful vocal range. But yes, he seems to like to start calm and quiet and then build from there. But he is a rock/metal singer so he does have some rock covers too that are not changed all that much while still making them his version.

Thanks for a great reaction. I recommend you to do his first cover on the channel the cover of Headless Cross, he was in the middle of his cancer treatment when he did that, other cover worth a listen is chandelier, take on me, and many other. You two won't be disappointed so just pick one on his channel and enjoy a great singer with an awesome voice.

You should listen to Erik Grönwall sing Mariah Carey's Without You, John Farnham's You're the voice, Eric Carmen's (Celine Dion) All by myself and Pentatonix Mary Did You Know, they are also truly amazing! In 2009, Erik won Swedish Idol and performed the specially written song Higher in the final. On March 23, 2022, it was announced by Eddie Trunk that Grönwall is replacing ZP Theart as the lead singer of Skid Row. In March 2024, Erik announced that he was leaving Skid Row for health reasons after being diagnosed with leukemia. His first single, "Higher", reached gold on digital downloads after only three days. His debut album, self-titled Erik Grönwall, was released just ten days after the finals and debuted at number one on the Swedish albums chart and was certified platinum. Both as a solo artist and band member, Grönwall has numerous top 40 hits.

It's kind of funny that you saw the pictures as Western American, because it's actually just Sweden. The video is shot in the old railway station building in the little town Knivsta, where Erik lives. So the pictures are old pictures related to that. The building still looks pretty much exactly the same. Google Knivsta station and you'll see. It's very odd for me to see that building in reaction videos from all over the world, since it's one I've seen from the train many times. For more Upbeat Erik songs, how about Livin' on a prayer?
