This is a very good podcast as Danny shows off his very good interview skills and EK gives us insights into the Bears offense that it seems only the former QBs are truly capable of giving. He really cut through the noise to get the heart of several issues on the Bears offense and all of it was quite encouraging for the present and future of the Bears IMO.

Glad to see Erik Kramer alive and seemingly doing well. Great QB and seems like a nice dude. Once a Bear always a Bear.

First and foremost, as someone who has also struggles with mental health, I’m happy as heck to see Mr. Kramer doing so well. He sounds and looks so happy. Secondly, Erik was a pretty dynamic thrower of the football, especially in ‘95 when he set all those records. If not for his gruesome neck injury in ‘96, I think we would have made the playoffs. Regardless, great show Danny Mac. Been listening to you since I was a kid.

I remember the season opener vs Cowboys who just won the Super Bowl on MNF and they dominated them. I was like oh man, this team is going to be real good. Maybe not Green Bay good, but for sure a playoff team. Then, the neck injury in Detroit.

Erik Kramer was my favorite QB outside of hopefully CW. That year with Conway and Graham was unbelievable

Yup! 1995! It feels like you and I are the only “fans” that appreciate Kramer. Lol

@@StevenAsadi I’m 54 yo. I seen the best of the Bears and worse. 1995 great offense and poor defense- missed the playoffs. Damn.

@@RichardLopez-ij5px So Bears. One of the very few times they have a legit offense, the defense isn't good. 2013 was like that too. That defense wasn't just bad, it was horrendous.

@@RichardLopez-ij5pxI'm 62, been rooting for Da Bears since the early 70's (at least) and they should've been in the playoffs in '95! The NFL messed up - and admitted so much - when they let Atlanta have the wildcard birth that year!

Loving this format Danny Mac. You've always been a solid interviewer, but not having to do filler bs for 3-4 hours shows how tight of an interviewer you are.

He was a really good QB

Shane Waldron let Caleb take the training wheels off and opened up the play book to him. Shane is becoming a better OC as well.

Why isn’t it fare to compare. Caleb is going to the be the man to start comparing others to. BearDown

I remember when Dan McNeil told Erik Kramer, "You're just another quarterback".
@vincent2402 ай бұрын
Really? When did he say that?
@cosmickeys57662 ай бұрын
I think Caleb needs 244 yds and 1.9 TD per game passing to break Kramer's record from here on out (thanks to 17 games)

I don't count the records of the old format with the new format. But that's just me. Like when people say the Patriots went 16-0 I say in the old format

Chicagos at the end of the the Bears shutdown the Lions. There’s no reason why the Bears cant continue that Dominance

Theyre so beat up by the end of the season and teams struggle to stay healthy during the year that they don't want to risk all that in preseason. It's double edge sword . Do I or dont I situation.
