I don’t know how you muster up the balls to sail the open sea like this but it’s pretty amazing to watch. I’ve always been fascinated with the oceans but also pretty horrified to be out in the middle of it. Maybe one day I’ll try to overcome it. Seems like nothing in the world would compare to what you’re doing. Plus you only live once. Also blown away by the astonishingly beautiful shots/footage you got in the “exploring Iceland” portion of this video. It really shows how much people who only stay in American cities (or any cities) are truly missing out on. The earth is such a vast and still largely unseen planet with so much to explore, it’s almost a crime to not get out and see as much of it as humanly possible. I have to agree with you that sailing has to be the best way to explore our world. Thank you for sharing this thrilling adventure with all of us. It was truly breathtaking!

We were exhausted and sea sick by the time you got to Faroe Islands. What an epic piece of film making. Not only did you do the camera work, the editing and directing, but you also had to sail the boat. You are heading for legend status Erik.

You weren't going back into the fjord with your tail behind your legs, but with you head held high, knowing that you took the right decision which is always part of being a skipper! I was in Haugesund in 2012 when we sailed to Norway in 1 go from the Netherlands a became there drunk. Very hospital country and friendly people.
