I've been playing the flute for 54 years on and off. Suavecito is one of my favorite songs by Malo 1971. This version has encouraged me to play it more. The flautist is phenomenal!

I like this version , but I also like Malo. I was told the lead singer was Carlos Santana brother. I'm a black guy from the Bronx, I just wanna say some of the music that Hispanics made was off the chain. I was at the concert in the 70's at Yankee stadium. I think it was around 73 74. All the great Hispanic bands were there. It was one of the best times in my life. I may have forgotten the year, but I'll never forget the love.

My girlfriend and I broke up in 1974, I knew that this was a bad situation for me, as i loved her with all my heart. this song "Suavecito" was on my mind and in my heart, every day and night and has never left my soul, nor has my former girlfriend. Although, I wish I could turn the tides of time, I cannot but I will never forget her, as she will always be the love of my heart and the only woman I ever loved on this earth. I sing Suavecito every time that she comes into my mind. God Bless Jorge Santana for this song.

Great Song, it was very popular a few years after I did my 3 years of Army time in the 1970’s. It was a way to relax listeners to awesome music after two tours of duty in Vietnam and in Augsburg, West Germany. Those 3 years of my life were great experience that appreciated the opportunity to serve our country. I recommend young adults to join the US Military, you will not regret it.
