As a Trentino fan, this loss hit me like a dagger. But no shame in losing to Zaksa where Trentino / Zaksa encounters have always been epic and of ridiculously high quality. Congrats Erik and Zaksa. Good luck with Perugia in the next round! PS - That block at 7:14 though by Podrascanin was just 💪

That first point is the perfect representation of how insane this match was. I think the crucial moment was the 2nd set, when you managed to come back from being a few points behind. That was so impressive! Your team has really, really strong mental game. Congrats on this win and good luck against Perugia!

I was on a graveyard shift working from home when I watched this. Rooting for Trentino but so happy for Zaksa's win. @@ErikShojivolleyball Im 29 years old now and I only started playing 5 years ago. I am playing in Australia PVL div 2. I head coach for school and lower div in my club. Am I considered old now to go pro? Realistically speaking and give me all the heat I can take it! especially after doing a jump serve on 23-24 for a comeback in finals at state tournament but shank it to the net T_T haha

Hey! If I’m being honest it might be a little late to try and go pro. But never say never! If it’s your goal then go for it! It continue to play in Australia and also coaching. That’s amazing!

erik could you explain the reason you want to set it high and inside on an adjustment set? wouldnt it better to just set it high and to the correct default position?

Trento’s libero is very young (19 yo or something), maybe that’s why communication was a bit off sometimes. This is his first time playing at this level in such a prestigious club and tournament.

Hey there! Great job! Love what you're doing. Now... I believe that when you get aced by Micheleto you should have had your center of gravity on the left side, not to the right. Like that you would have faced the setter in balance. Because you went to the right the ball was running from you. Good luck for the rest of the season! Cheers

I'm pretty happy the ref didn't call the 11:59 back set by Elvis. There's too much people not liking the way a set looks and then trying to find rules as to why it should be called. If something isn't a clear double (as in you can hear two distinct touches) or a lift (as in person catches and releases the ball in a notable way), let's just continue playing. I want watch people playing volleyball, not the ref wanting to be center of attention.

We have a lot of talent on the outside hitter position, he usually just doesn't make the cut for the championship tournaments. And also, he has kind of struggled to show his full potential in the national team.
