Im in my 4th year playing high school volleyball and I agree. I’ve seen so many opportunities to go off the court and continue the play. Where I am, we can’t go past the first step of the bleachers or past the bench area.

Ive always considered LIBEROs as the "defense captain" of the team. They need to exert leadership in making sure that all the defenders are in their proper places and asking the blockers to block a certain way to give them ways to dig balls.

In Korea, I think most of the barriers are soft barriers on the shorter sides of the court. But the ones on the longer sides are made of a bit firmer ones.

I love how is started with the clip of Serginho a now retired player from Sada Cruzeiro, the club i support, he was considered to be the second best libero in Brazil for a long time just behind the other Seginho(the libero from Brazil national team), its funny how two of the best liberos of one of Brazil best generations, have the same name but one is legendary name of the sport.

A regular captain may not always be on the court either. For example if a middle is captain, they aren't always on the court either. They would just name another on court player captain. I guess it would be the same in the case of the libero being captain.

I’m happy the fivb changed the rule and let liberos being captains. If you think it never made sense that a middle who is half the time on the bench when backrow can be cap but a libero who’s on court always minus when the middle serves cannot be
