Here is another POV (Point of View) video from practice with USA Volleyball. In this video Jeff Jendryk (middle blocker) and I wore the GoPro for an inside look into our training! I hope you enjoy and don't forgot to like, comment, and ask questions if you have them! Yay volleyball!

Hey Erik. You and Team USA is such an inspiration to me since way back 2012. I started playing a few years back and really hit the turbo around that year mentioned above. I’ve been to different position and now currently settled as a setter. Is there by chance you, Micah Christenson, Kawika Shoji and Sir Tuaniga can make a video in becoming a much more effective setter and the best training drills to improve this skill set. Hopd you’ll consider this. Thank you. Go Team USA! 🇺🇸🇸🇽

Your POVs are so good! You've made volleyball seem much more accessible to me, and it's awesome seeing how much goes into being a pro volleyballer! What do you think is the hardest sport (both recreationally and professionally)? Do you have any tips for staying motivated for your sport? And what would you say is a sport that would be good for a teen to transition to? What do you think the hardest sport is to transition to? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that ended up being longer then I meant it to be, but whatever. anyway, I'm done now, so... bye!

Some notes: Russell & Anderson OH's, while TJ Opposite? Interesting. I think Anderson would be a better OPP since he's played that position for many years now, but him being OH is just as good. Am curious to see TJ's fit as OPP. Also, great editing, and great player introductions! So cool!

Whats the difference between a 1 and a float? Also TJ hitting 3D is awesome
@elil6781
@elil6781 Жыл бұрын
Both the float and when he called the 1 are the same set, but when he calls a bounce ball he wants a tighter and lower set so he can hit it straight down, opposed to a traditional 1 ,that floats a little bit. I’m not sure that’s what it is, that’s just what I inferred as a setter.

Damn... those calls are amazing. When I play, i just want to shut up and focus, but you seem to be able to play better the more you communicate. What are your words? "Go" means the other defender gets the ball? And "mine" means you yourself get it? What else do you say to clearly communicate intention in such a short time?

It looks like Matt Anderson is still suffering from some lack of confidence after playing at zenit kazan for so long. It must be so hard going from the star hitter on all his teams top being someone who barely gets set at all with Mikhailov and leon on his team. I still reckon they under utilised him in that team. I suffered from a similar thing when I went from being the star hitter on my team which got set 70% of the balls and probably having a kill percentage around 65% to getting set around 30% of the balls and my kill percentage dropped to around 40%. Its so tough adjusting to a lower load of sets and it can really impact your confidence. Luckily Ive proven myself as a one of the better hitters on my team and my amount of sets have gone up to around 50% and with a higher kill rate but I completely understand how he must feel.
