As a German I want to leave a compliment: I love how you look up every German word and try the pronounciation! I know our language is hard to learn, the grammar as well as the pronounciation. It is only "easy" in case you grew up with it. But you at least TRY! And that is what makes the difference! It doesn't matter how good or close you are, what matters is that you put some effort into it. And that is much more than most strangers do. (Because one usually can get along with English in Germany.) It shows you're open minded and curious, and that is what I adore! ♥ Edit: Don't worry about the beer.....though I am German I hate beer, LOL.

Nice tour of Freiburg. Just like you Erin I'm not much of a drinker either, but I wouldn't be able to resist a stein of German beer and a pretzel or two. 🍺 🥨🥨 Thanks for posting and don't accidently trip in that gutter. See you in Paris. Hope you're not afraid of heights and you took the elevator up to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

I thought I could at least get through one stein but omg one sip was enough for me LOL! It was a light beer too, so i really thought it wouldn't be too bad but AGH i just couldnt haha. stay tuned for Paris, it was super fun!

Italian belongs to the Romance language family. English and German, on the other hand, are both Germanic languages. English is therefore actually closer to German than to Italian.😅

English grammar is closer to German, but a lot of English vocabulary comes from Latin (either directly or through Romance languages)

One of my favourite cities in Europe 💚 been looking forward to this video. The inside of that restaurant is hella cute and eclectic. Europeans just do al fresco dining better, don't they? I wish there were more outdoor dining places where I live! I think covid helped make the push a little bit but still... granted it's freezing a lot of the year in the midwest!! I actually took a bunch of footage to make a short about this so you will see it soon haha!! i loved seeing janeways out there

You should try a radler next time its beer mixed with sprite very refreshing or a apfelschorle, its the german drink ever. Alkoholfree and refreshing. Its applejuice with sparkling water.
