I hate having a TV I barely use dominating my lounge room and so haven't had one and have happily just been using my laptop for netflix/movies for a few years. I'm now very tempted to give one of these a go with the no glare screen. My room is very bright and wherever I put it would have to be near a window so I really appreciate the brightness/reflection details and footage from different angles. Thank you! 📺✨

Installed our 43" in the kitchen a couple of weeks ago. We had access behind the tv to an open area to hide the huge one connect box. We also got the teak frame. The features of the TV are great! We love the ability to turn the TV into art when not in use. The tv is as close to the wall as possible and really sells the art hanging look. The matte finish also works well. Navigating the smart menu, and changing inputs is a little clunky for my liking. My main gripe is picture quality. We got our 43" on Black Friday for $200 off at $799.99. The picture is similar to our $350 bedroom TV. Anything more than 5 degrees off center viewing and the color and black levels diminish quickly. It also doesn't help that you can see our main OLED TV and the difference in picture quality is huge. I would have purchased a similar sized OLED for the same price, but the aesthetics of the matte screen, frame, and picture mode won out as it is not a main viewing TV.

After watching numerous of these Samsung frame reviews as my girlfriend decided we are getting one (I am not a tv dude, i do not care). I have two conclusions, the first being that I am now really looking forward to get one and, the second is that this frame review is one of the best i have seen. in depth but not in the way that every other channel does it. keep up the good work. I am definetly subscribing from now on.

Unfortunately, unless you use an in-wall, fire-rated type of conduit, most areas prohibit cables like the Samsung "invisible" variation that is bundled with the Frame from running inside of walls. This is because the cable carries power to the display. Samsung did make a cable that was rated for in-wall use but it's expensive, bulky and virtually impossible to find. There are also conflicting reports as to whether the cable works with the 2022 models. I asked Samsung and they they maintain that the solution is not officially supported. So... if you want to mount the Frame on a wall and hide the cable, you have a few options: 1. install a fire-rated conduit and use it with the standard cable; 2. suppress your OCD and leave the cable dangling below the TV or concealed behind a surface-mounted conduit, shelf etc.; 3. add a power outlet behind the TV and mount a backbox in the wall to hold the One Connect box. Option #1 is tough to source out because it's more common for commercial applications. Option #2 isn't elegant but it just takes a bit of creativity. And for most people, option #3 means hiring an electrician, buying a backbox and hacking up the wall behind the TV. In the end, Samsung has avoided the whole issue by simply saying that the invisible cable isn't very noticeable. For a premium lifestyle technology that is based around making the technology less obvious, not having a real solution to hide the cable is a major shortcoming.

The cable issue is the only thing that is stopping me to buy this tv. I reeeeeeaally want it to look like a piece of art and having “an invisible cable” around the brick wall where the TV is going to be placed .. it’s a no, no, for $2,000

Thanks for your review. I checked out a few others but yours was definitely the one the pushed me to go for it. I got the 55 inch model and I was expecting to be wowed by the art mode (It is phenomenal don't get me wrong ). I was however more impressed with the brightness, the picture quality as well as the matt finish which handles light reflections like a champ. Alot of reviews focused on the non OLED panel and made it seem like a big sacrifice but the screen is good enough to hold its own. I still do feel the Samsung photo bezels are still over prized.

Great, informative video. Expecting delivery of my 55" Frame tomorrow. Looks like I have days or weeks of "dialing in" the preferred settings. Best thing for a TV since the "click remote" was invented many, many years ago.

Cons: Why after 5 updates to this TV model over the years, can it still not be configured to pull Art Mode images from a folder on a local network (WiFi) server and rotate them on a schedule? When you do view photos via DLNA (i.e. manually advanced slideshow) the TV outputs them in 1024 x 768 or so ... on a UHD screen ... *WHY?*

I'm really torn. I love my frame 49 and the one connect box. I can't decide between a better picture via mini led in a bright room or the matte coating of the frame (a big jump from my old version). There are some great deals on the 75 and 85 this month as well here in the UK. Like you I love it just stays out the way and doesn't dominate the room like a none frame TV. Also no risk of burn in Vs OLED for a family TV.

I enjoyed your review. I’m an art collector so the Frame will be sharing wall space with my actual works of art. I’m sold on the art mode. My only concern is watching tv . I watch sports and tv shows and prefer to watch in low light at night. Will this be an issue. When you answer you should know that I’ll finally be upgrading from a tv that is about 12 years old.

I think the TV quality is great. I do have a pricier and fancier television myself in my media room, so this is definitely a supplemental screen. Even so I don’t have any concerns with watching programming, particularly at night or in low light situation. particularly the 2022 model with the anti-glare glass is definitely worth it. Do yourself a favour and just buy it already; it’s on a bit of a sale right now and it’ll arrive before Christmas: amzn.to/3UNbA0L

Do the really big frame TVs look weird? I have a 75" TV that's 7 years old, and it seems huge still. Most art is not that big, so I wonder from people who have 75+ versions of the frame ... does it still look convincing as art?
@ErinLawrenceTV Жыл бұрын
I think it's about scale in your home. If you have a really big room and big furniture to match, a massive TV or piece of art wouldn't be out of place. But a 75 inch TV in the place where I currently have my frame TV would be slightly comical.

Hi Erin I have been looking forward to your review of this TV as I find your reviews very useful. I think you do a great job of straddling the line between giving your take as a regular user whilst also being an informative reviewer and knowing all the facts. I have a question: have you used some of the higher end OLED TVs from this year? For example the Samsung QD OLED or Sony Bravia's A95K? Reason I ask is because I know The Frame is a QLED and I was just wondering how the picture stacks up against them.
@ErinLawrenceTV2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the beautiful compliment, Gareth. To answer your question, yes, I have tried some of the new OLED TVs, and they can be amazing. If you don't need the 'hide in plain sight' aspects of the Frame, and instead want a superior video screen, OLED is the way to go, and we do have an OLED in our media room. I love the Frame because the video is still great, but I don't have to look at the blank screen. Are you trying to decide?
@ItsGazareth2 жыл бұрын
@@ErinLawrenceTV I am. I really like the look of The Frame, the art mode would look so nice in my living room. I just don't want to compromise on picture quality. When I have friends over and we want to watch a movie... Will I wish I'd bought an OLED to get the best possible picture for those moments?

Why is this the third version? There's been a small or large update to it every year since the first model in 2017 as far as I can tell. Some of the updates were very minor. And overall, it's still deeply disappointing compared to what it could and should be (finally got the 2022 model at 2021 runout price because they lost my runout order and I was going to cancel the order after 4 months but they just gave me the new one).

Be careful listening to this review about objective video results. This is a great TV if you want a TV that doesn't look like a TV, but for information about its video qualities refer to Rtings instead. You're not paying for a quality TV set here, you're paying for the One Connect box, the ability to hang it flat and put a bezel on it, etc. It's middle-of-the-road as far as TV's go.

The main benefit to us is the fact that The Frame has a great picture in a sunlit room. An OLED and other top-of-the-line TVs are almost unwatchable during the day due to reflections.
