Im Güterbahnhof Friedrichstadt ist es heute sehr ruhig. Vor über 15 Jahren war noch richtig Betrieb. Es gab die rollende Landstraße und im Güterbahnhof wurde noch rangiert. Auch die Baureihe 180 stand noch in Lohn und Brot.

I was just wondering what happened to the ex DB180 series. Well as it turns out they were bought buy a Czech private cargo operator. Unfortunately: basically all of them are non operational and very hard to repair. This was probably caused by bad maintenance by DB. The Czech counterparts 372/371 operated by CD are also expected to retire soon. They will probably retire before 2025 (ETCS). As for the other series with the same shape: CD362/363 (Those locs are basically identical from the outside but much more modern on the inside). They will probably be equipped with ETCS and continue their service for a while... So yeah... That's what i found.

​@@HowIamDriving yeah, it's quite interesting. DB180/CD372 was actually the newest of the series (by the date of manufacture). Yet still DR decided to equip them with "older proven and reliable technology" which greatly compromised theirs lifespan. The other reason besides reliability was to save weight due to weaker german infrastructure (especially bridges). DB180 is 84t and CD363 is 87t. According to Wikipedia

@@tomatom6988 I can only speculate but as they were a oddity in the fleet maintenance works was maybe done by using non-original parts but by what was deemed compatible. Also, regarding all electric AC equippment that stuff probably came directly from LEW Hennigsdorf, so they probably used DB 143 components on that. Maybe the fact that they were all stabled for years didn't make it better, too.

Eine traurige Sache das die Güterbahnhöfe und Rangierbahnhöfe dicht gemacht werden. Die Verkehrspolitik besteht aus großen Opfern und Lappen, der Güterverkehr muss schnell auf die Schiene zurück

Sie sind wohl Bescheuert, das wäre ja der Tod des LKW Speditionswesen und die Autobahnen sind auch wieder frei. Ironie Aus!

@@martinmiessler5025 ich frage mich was denken Sie sich wer sie sind. Der Güterverkehr muss auf die Schiene geholt werden. Aber da es der Verkehrspolitik scheiß egal ist und immer mehr Autos bauen lässt muss man ja die Straßen entlasten und die LKW-Fahrer auch. Es gibt auch sogenannte Rolas zu deutsch rollende Landstraßen da fahren die LKW-Fahrer ihren LKW drauf und können so mit der Bahn fahren. Dies wurde vor Jahren von der Deutschen Bundesbahn eingeführt. Leider hat das iwer wieder gestrichen warum und weshalb. Das weiß ich nicht
