10 salient points. Don't miss any of them! Simple breakdown: Rule of Thumb by Erin: "A business b rand should feel personal, and a personal brand can include business". ... Personal Brands 1. Tell a story and have a mission attached to it from your bio to very authentic, real content. No editing overkill. 1:45 2. Show who you are & your interests, even if you have multiple, e.g. starting with your top 3 attributes. 3:20 3. Be understandable to someone who doesn't know you with structure and repetition (follows point 3). 4:15 4. Be engaging e.g. with calls to action, swipe-overs, saves etc. 5:25 5. Add value where you see fit; aiming to correspond with your mission, or even tagging where you got the products in your pic. 5:45 6. Look relatively polished; not necessarily "professional" NOR super aesthetic. 6:55 ... Business Brands 7. Mix personable and curated(business/brand/professional) content. 12:15 8. Understand your audience's needs and speak to them quickly using your bio 13:10 9. Look organic but polished with content that's easy on the eyes 13:26 10. Have calls to action 13:37 ... My lessons: 1) A page should be dedicated to something. 2) What makes a personal page is the strong, undeniable presence of PERSONALITY; not giving up privacy. Big one for private or introverted people. 3) AIM to upload relatively frequently. You can start small and get comfortable doing more with time. THANKS ERIN!!! Looking pretty as always!😍

I think the issue is when people start an Instagram page and convert it to a business. Their followers (friends etc) might not match their target consumers for their business. Also the content they had on their personal page might not align with their business's brand.

Yeah, that was a concern I had about branding too!

I agree! I think I struggle with converting my followers to actual customers to read my work... I am in the process of trying to grow my audience outside of my network.
@mytutucents93814 жыл бұрын
@@melissahenderson4722 yea, so I see people do this all the time. It's great because you save time with having 1 account, and already have a following. When you're a solopeneur your business is your life, so making it more personal like Erin said helps.
@mytutucents93814 жыл бұрын
@@ThatGirlMoi Yea, you can conduct an audit and use one account,, also as you create more new content, most folks aren't scrolling past a certain amount. Everyone and all businesses go through rebrands. Im already planning to rebrand my youtube page probably at the end of the year.

"a business brand should appear personal, and a personal brand can include business..." I definitely think this is helpful. I've seen a lot of people make their personal page into their business page (which honestly confuses me because I'd never remember following that page). That ends up being kind of irritating and can cause more bad than good IMO

When it comes to creating content, what do you suggest your clients do? Schedule, time block, snag it as they go, etc

Questions - You believe it's good to have you're personal and business brand together and you talked about this in tip 2... What if you have a few different businesses or interested. For example, I'm a business coach and have an account for this, and then resell on Poshmark for fun and have an account for this. Would you recommend to mesh those together or still keep those separate?
