And he’s such a friendly lovable dude !!! Love his accountability. In my eyes he’s everything we hoped Jamal might be, in linebacker form :) their body types remind me of each other

Good to see a positive video drop after a loss. I think we get too hung up on the immediate that we miss on recognizing the potential and what we’re building for the future.

Like I said, we need to pay him ASAP. He is obliviously the Bobby Wagner's successor to this defense, or in McDonald's case, the Raquon Smith to this team.

I was listening to hawkblogger (Brian newhouser) and he started to talk about Sunday night game. He is inside the building and is asking Macdonald questions in his press conference. But he said on his show that Macdonald isn't totally sold on grubb and his offense. First grubb wasn't the person he wanted to hire to take over the offense it was john. Macdonald wanted Arthur smith. Brian said on his Monday morning show he believes that grubb is gone after this season. Macdonald wants a different type of offense and after the packers game he is angry with how they played. So my conclusion is that grubb will gone this season. It won't matter if grubb has a incredible last 3 or 4 games. Both grubb and Macdonald have philosophical differences and he won't speak ill about grubb but with what happened to the offense I just think the whole offensive staff will be overhauled next season. Which is beyond crazy because grubb doesn't throw the ball, block etc. It's on the players and they failed grubb. No head coach who maybe fired will get seattle job because they will get the next HC position. McDonald from miami and stefanski are too good as HC and their disciple are not them. Just like mcvay and Shanahan and their asst coaches. I can't get past the fact that the defense played like crap but it's grubb and the offense fault when the defense let the packers score 20 points in the first half. So is the grubb/huff firing more likely now or will seattle be patient.

It's hard for me to second guess playcalling because Im no expert. It's also too easy to say something was a dumb call just because it didn't work. For me, though, it's the little things. Like 3rd and short, and we drop Geno back and have him go through his reads. He gets sacked. Next 3rd and short, we do it again. Sacked again. You don't have to be a great offensive mind to see the stupidity in that. We have an atrocious O-line. We should be calling plays with that in mind. I'm not an emotional, reactionary, toxic fan demanding he doesn't get a shot at a 2nd season, but I totally understand it if that ends up being the case.

Understandable that there could very likely be smoke to this fire. Macdonald has lamented a few times the team's lack of commitment to running the ball after these games. Let's face it, Grubb hasn't established himself either, and it's not getting better.

@petervangent9060 but my problem is that grubb/huff is in their first year as a nfl oc. We all knew it will take time to get know the league. He not facing pac 12, sec, big 10 defense. He facing stuff he maybe hasn't seen or seen a minimum amount of the time. My problem is who is better than grubb and if you get a supposed oc whose better and it don't work out. It would set the team back. I keep coming to its not him throwing the ball or blocking. And grubb go to another team and blows up with another team it will set seattle back. People saying seattle get stefanski, McDonald could become seahawks oc when they have had one bad season as a HC is either staying as a HC or get another job as hc. I dont believe in kakfa, daboll, pedersen, reich. Heck i feel grubb is better than them. And if you get a mcvay disicple like Peet or whoever they arent mcvay. Look at waldron he showed in Chicago he can't hack it. That the same Shanahan. Both aren't Shanahan or mcvay. Engstrand will probably be the next oc for Detroit. Now look at whose playing good jsn whose close to 1000 yards receiving and dk is drawing triple teams because his presence. Also grubb didnt hand pick the oline seattle has. If their is blame its Schneider and pro department. All I'm saying that the grass isn't greener. Yes he should have run but I could understand grubb reasoning. He right now doesn't trust the oline to get one yard. They are inconsistent so his stuff he wants to run he can't. It was the same with Macdonald defense from week 4 to the rams game. He had to get Ernst Jones and trade Dodson before their was a change. I can go on and on. I just believe your starting over offensely again. That would how many oc since covid. My opinion is no oc would be successful with oline that needs probably 3 to 4 oline position filled next season, plus a younger receiver who can give you YAC yards etc. I just believe in grubb I seen that offense UW had it was adaptable and made defenses crazy. It just needs lineman that can power but athletic run schemes.
@thomascox9362
@thomascox9362 Ай бұрын
@@TheHawksNest12thman honestly how can he. If I'm grubb i cant trust this oline to block for 2 seconds let alone run the scheme for run blocking. Schneider didnt once get a erza cleveland, a wyatt teller or a quentin nelson to improve the oline like he did with ernst Jones. Its Schneider fault more than grubb. Like I have said who will a better option that won't set seattle back. That's like how many oc since covid. It's like your argument with geno and my argument with jsn. If they have an offensive line I could see seattle becoming a team that could rival Detroit.

@thomascox9362 i thinl I agree with most of that. It's important to look for the context in why he has failed this year and, also, what he's tried to with the worst interior pass protection line in the league. I'm not saying I can quantity it and cast judgment - just that we need to acknowledge that this isn't black and white. Whatever happens, we shouldn't fire him as some sort of punishment for his first season. If it happens, it should come from a sincere belief that he won't improve. But, that's way above my head

Great video. If we overpay anybody, I want it to be this guy. He doesn't quite have the speed and athleticism of the league's top tier MLBs, but he's very efficient with the athleticism he does have. I've been really impressed with him in interviews. He's a dog, he's coachable, and he seems to really love the game of football (I know those descriptions all sound like worthless cliches, but I don't know how else to say it). I hope he's the heart and soul of our defense for next 5 years.
