@@bryonhunt Yeah I hear you, but I haven't listened to SOAD regularly in about 15 years because it's just too intense for most settings or company. This cover capture's the song's brilliance in a way that I can certainly appreciate more often.

I happen to agree with you that Ernesto's iterpretation has a listenability quality that is more appealing in many situations. I used to say that SRV's versions of many of Hendrix's songs were better. A close friend of mine made the simple observation that SRV's version would not exist without Hendrix. So it may be a matter of symantics but now I say I prefer this over that instead of deciding which is better. BTW - I looped SOAD's Toxicity a few weeks ago and walked away with a headache, so I know what you mean, lol!!!
