Let’s get back to the week recaps! I know sometimes they’re a little boring (especially for me 😅), but they’re some of my favorite videos to make because it’s always nice to look back and see what you’ve accomplished in the last week. We finished cleaning up tractors at the beginning of the week, got the cultivator pulled into the shop to work on and get spring ready, sold some beans, and got some much needed rain. Thank you so much for watching!

🇺🇸 I want to apologize for putting my '2 cents' worth on your survey!! I should have commented that it was your channel, I enjoy YOUR content. I'm not much of a chef but your cooking videos are welcome because you talk, tell stories & etc., make it interesting. I love the farming vids cause I'm a 64 y.o. that stove himself all to...um...pieces several times and I can farm vicariously through you, LOL. God bless, be true to you. 🙏🚜🌽🌾🚜🙏

Erin, thank you. Its good to see you posting again. I hope that everyone in your family is doing well. I especially appreciate our family farmers and the behind-the-scenes view that you provide adds dimension to all the hard work and day to day maintenance that goes on to keep an operation like yours running. Really, really good work.

So wonderful to see you posting again. Even before you said it, when I saw that big tire I exclaimed “warning Erin, look out for the darned tire!” Boy, do I remember what you went through with one of those things. That was horrible. Weird how your grain prices went down but our groceries went way up. Hmmmm

Yes ma'am you stay away form those big tractor tires especially on a wet day like that. Thanks for sharing. Oh to me the old tines on the cultivator didn't look too bad, but then again I likely would run them until there was only about 7 inches left. I guess that is why I'm not a commercial farmer. Again thanks for sharing.

Second it's quite impressive and commendable how you keep your equipment so clean and well kept. It's so much easier to spot problems with clean equipment. Hats off to y'all for that. Take care.

Well about cleaning. I know Irish dairy farmers who have so much mud and manure that it doubles as a gasket. Many of their local fame is how much muck is on their tractors. It also helps to keep the tractors warm in cold and wet Ireland. 😅😅 Their cleaning regimes taking off the cab doors and leaving them out in the rain as the water filters down through the cab rusty cracks.

You clean your equipment because that who you are. Attention to details is one way to keep the equipment that supplies your income in good running condition. It also allows you time to repair broken or damaged items without a tractor being out of use when it needed.

Your marketing strategy is like mine Erin. I wish I would’ve contracted corn last year when it was around $6.50 but we didn’t have any rain until the end of June and corn was already going backwards the first part of June. Same thing with beans, shoulda sold them off the combine and would’ve been farther ahead lol oh well just hope they go up some more so I can keep going

That was an interesting comment about the price drop on your beans. I'm dairy farming in New Zealand and prices here are dropping. In the last month the sheep milk industry has gone bust and goat milk production has been dropped in half. When I look at the war in the Ukraine, where is all the production coming from. 👍

Hey Erin! Great to see yeah! Hey tip to keep the floors clean or easy to keep clean! After you get them clean wax them with a rubber flor wax and let it dry! Then all you have to do it wipe them out with a swifter pad! I did it for our old forestry crew van floor and made it so easy to clean! Also hear is a recipe for you to try! Take bacon sausage, white onions , bellpepers and any other veggies you want and ither russet or red potatoes dice all up to about 1/4 inch cubes and place in your small foil pans I've seen you use with some eggs and with these spices! A small pinch of these sage, smoked paprika, dash of white pepper, blk pepper and if you can find it harissa. Mix all and place in your oven at 425 for 15 mints covered , then for the next 15 uncoverd and add what ever cheese blend you want and then you can have your self or for you and your dad a nice hot cooked breakfast during harvest or when ever! I do this but with out eggs cause I'm allergic to eggs!

Hey Erin, How did Y'all make out with the Tractor that got hit and Wreaked? I see your Dad is doing fine from the Ordeal. Did Y'all get a New Tractor out of it, Fx it back up. Just an update if you don't mind. That is alot of spikes to replace, Now my question is to save money, Could you of just flipped them around to ware out the other side? That is a new type of implament to me, I am not very familiar with it.I know lots of questions, lol If I didn't tell on your last video, Congratulation on your Marriage. I am very happy for you.
