its amazing how g85 can make a “film” emulation so good! plus the color grading is 👌👌👌

Thank you so much! And a diffusion filter goes a LONG way to soften the image and add some nice halation. When you add grain in post it definitely pulls together the film look!

Great job Jorge! Congratulations! Just a quick question.. Which lens did you use for the shot when the car is arriving at the gas station?
@jorgequintanapoetry Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Bohemia! And it was the Panasonic 12-60mm lens since that was the widest one I had available. Hope this helps!

What ND Filters dod you use throughout making this film. And what was the lenses you used.
@jorgequintanapoetry Жыл бұрын
Hey Ruff, I used Variable ND filter from moment paired with Moment's Cinebloom Diffusion filter. Variable ND is better because you can adjust. Panasonic has a cropped sensor so in wide shots we used the Kit lens 12-60mm (Basically a 24-120mm lens). In close ups a 25mm portrait (equivalent to 50mm). Most of this was shot using the 50mm for the intimacy. Hope this helps!

This is great! I recently got a g85 and have been struggling to understand how the color management works. What are you using to create the film emulation and get these kinds of colors? I’m trying to use dehancer with my footage but struggling to know what the input color spaces should be.
@jorgequintanapoetry9 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! And I graded this on Final Cut before I moved over to Davinci. I didn’t know how to work with a dehancer so I used a diffusion filter for my lenses! I used moments Cinebloom filter. There are more on the market but it’s a 10% diffusion (pretty high). A work around is smearing Vaseline on your lens. But you capture softer images so when you grade it comes out more filmic!
@hadenp19 ай бұрын
@@jorgequintanapoetry how did you get the colors to look bright and film like? Did they come out of the camera like that?
@jorgequintanapoetry9 ай бұрын
@@hadenp1That’s the effects of the diffusion filter, it causes the lights to bloom (called halation). You can also add halation in post production!

@jorgequintanapoetry5 ай бұрын
Hey I didn't use any special lens just Lumix lenses: 25mm and 12-60mm. I did use an ND for the sun and a diffusion filter to give it more of a filmic look.

What's your secret for the colour grade. Awesome👏
@jorgequintanapoetry2 ай бұрын
@@yesspads Thank you! And I used a diffusion filter to soften the image and then I just pushed all of the shadows toward teal and the midtown toward orange to get the classic teal/orange look!
