I think Buzz is seriously my "guitar hero" of all time, or "musician hero". People are always going on about people like Eddie Van Halen, or Randy Rhoads, or the guys from Metallica and Megadeth, or Kurt Cobain, or the guys from Guns N' Roses, or . . . but no, Buzz is just humble and honest, and a genius when it comes to either guitar or songs. Other than admiring the playing, skill and personality of the late Dimebag Darrell, Buzz really is my favorite musician out there.

I think the key to the Melvins' longevity is Buzz's inclination towards hoarding riffs and bits of unfinished songs. Most artists will think "Ok, we have 6 months to a year to write our next record" and they go into the studio and try really hard to write what they think is good or will be popular by the album's release. It just seems like a really archaic and ass backwards way of going about your business. Props to King Buzzo, he's a rock and roll lifer and he's been doing it right from day one.

It's amazing to hear such a stripped version of revolve. Buzzo is such a real real person, one who isn't defined by what he plays, but what he saves. It pumps me up to know that there are so many melvins riffs out there waiting to be perfected on and later released. The Melvins are a band that will only keep getting better, which for most bands is an impossible feat

I googled the lyrics to this, and what he sings here is wildly different. I'm wondering if the words were wrong, or if he legitimately just goes more with the melody and the words are less important
@Bullheadrecords

I think that’s the way he dose it, if you listen to a melvins song, it’s more so about the flow of the lyrics rather then the actually lyrics.

I started to listen this band 11 years ago, and saying "yeah I will fucking go for a grunge band like this, I want to get my ass in this kind of music" And after that, as normal, you just know other bands and for a few years I forgot about melvins. Last year I restarted the have a look to what they did and stuff and then I realized I made the fucking deal. I got a stoner band and at this moment I just realized that I did the thing I wanted to do 11 years ago but without realizing actually that Melvins are not like a grunge band, it's more 80% stoner and dude I got really proud of myself. It's been a terrible time for me al along this lasts 4 years but just realized of this and made so happy the day of today. Thank you for the one who spend time to read this.

King Buzzo is amazing! I love his songwriting and his personal outlook. I have seen Melvins live many times and their shows are moving, beautiful and loud as hell! This is a true musician who plays perhaps 125-150 shows a year, plus releases at least one, and lately as many as 7 new records a year - and he has done this consistently for 30 years! Compare that to many "pop" stars and other rock stars like Pearl Jam and you can see they have a long ways to go to even get to the same level.
