I believe the Melvins are the band that can help me restore and gain my confidence as a guitar player. Everybody that has quoted Buzz is right..,just write something that sounds good and cool and is simple to play. Nobody is Eddie Van Halen. And nobody ever will be. And that’s fine. And, I think that’s what has held me back from being good. That super expectation I’ve put on myself that I’ve got to be as flawless as Eddie. And it’s sabotaged my confidence. I’m hoping playing this and other Melvins songs and building from those can help me!!
@musicman99012 жыл бұрын
I think there are many ways of practicing guitar, people overthink and assume it means skill and technique. What about feeling the groove of the music, feeing different time signatures, practice the attitude you are going for in your music. I think I overthought guitar playing in the same way myself, now it’s a matter of stretching out in other ways. Good luck and keep jamming.

@Nicholas Debono Correct. Buzzo taught it to Kim and Soundgarden used it first in the song Nothing to Say if I'm not wrong. For one second I wrongly remembered it, as Kim taught Buzzo. And I think Buzzo heard it from Black Sabbath, as Kim said.
