A few weeks bouncing around in the back of my work van and these are still going strong. They’re in the same place I left them and none of the socks have come off. This seems like an affordable US made solution for organizing your sockets.
For reference the box I’m using is a 44” x 22” U.S. General toolbox. I’m using the top drawer.

I'm an aircraft mechanic and have used these Earnst socket holders for at least 10 years and they have held up very well. The locks features haven't worn out and the sockets stay in place even when throwing the rail in a tool bag. Overall, they are a very good product.

I'm in love with my Milwaukee packout sets (3/8 and 1/2 inch) after so many socket sets that end up with sockets falling out of their spots or the case failing over the last couple decades living in my service truck, it's so nice to have a robust and compatible kit that never turns in to a socketsplosion or ends up with sockets not where they belong

Got one of these on my box for all my 1/4 inch bits and some little random 3/8ths things. Had it for about 2 years and it has held up great. For my main socket storage I have the olsa tools magnetic socket organizers which are nice because you sockets just drop into place and you can grab them without having to twist them out.

@FunkFPV depending on the which sized socket there are various levels of extra room. I really like them but I am a Autobody technician so I tend to use a lot of smaller things. 90% of what I do, I use 1/4 inch drive sockets and bits so I don't have any huge sockets.

Ernst makes them and tekton rebranded them as far as I know. Tekton rebranded trusty cook hammers. I've been happy with their stuff for the most part. The ratchets are meh, the 1/4" impact torx sockets are junk. Their warranty is great but I didn't bother having them replace the torx as they've broken.

I put these in a tool box at work. They are ok, but the latch that holds the individual rails in place isn't robust enough. I have the tray positioned front to back in the drawer and when loaded with sockets, there is enough weight that it pops the rail loose when you close the drawer. The twist lock feature feels a bit mushy as well, but i would imagine different brands of sockets will feel different. I do really like their wrench trays though.

Tekton rebrands these and they come with a lifetime warranty, I love them, and have only broken one rail by leaving brake fluid on it over the weekend. These are not incredibly chemical resistant, so brake fluid will crack them, and I imagine spraying them down with brake clean every week would probably do the same thing

Dear Funk FPV, TL;DR - It's not important I bought an Ernst socket organizer like a decade ago and I did not like it (I can't figure out why). So I tried tool-widget's stuff this year. The tool-widget has size markers that go through the middle of the socket. I can hardly read them because of the poor quality, AND they don't fit through the smaller 1/4" drive sockets. They boast that their magnet holds tools but almost all my sockets and ratchets are stainless, so that didn't work at all. I returned all the socket organizers and got Ernst and now I'm such a nerd about them. I love them. Also the one I bought a decade ago is like new (granted, I'm a hobbyist, so its only received light use). Thanks for the video, Markus

I use these in several boxes. In my travel bag I loaded up a rail with extra holders on the back side. Imperial on one side and metric on the other... I like the stickers for my light usage. I'm curious how long these will hold up to heavy use. My guess is those heavy sockets will start jumping ship in the truck.

Lifetime guarantee means about as much as lifetime warranty, which is exactly fuck all. There is always a bunch of fine print and careful wording that entails what your actually entitled to; whether or not they actually follow through with any of it, well, that's entirely up to the company unless you get lawyers involved. Most companies that have lifetime warranties now have fine print or wording that entitles you to basically nothing, but they just warranty stuff anyways to keep up their reputation. It's a way to avoid legal liability while still giving themselves a good reputation.

My hands won’t stay clean any day of the week, not even now that I’m retired. Honeydo list, doncha know. Socket organizers are a great idea. Yeah, the old fangled springy steel ones sucked, and I don’t want to trust plastic ones, but being retired I wouldn’t put that much stress on them every day as you will. Let us see how they hold up in a month or so, okay?

I work in MN, and my biggest problem with plastic socket organizers is that they are far too brittle when stored in my vehicle during subzero temperatures, and I always end up breaking the rails or clips. Are these made of nylon, or do they seem like they would be more cold weather durable? I'm curious because I've been kinda stuck with the metal style, and they're far from great for my purposes, and I'm definitely looking for a better solution.

the stickers are really nice because I can't read the sizes on so many of my sockets because the markings never at any 90 degree angle and even if they are stamped it's often still a struggle to see what it says if the lighting isnt right, but that's more of a problem on my impact sockets. Are the stickers decent quality? Because if they are cheap paper ones then they will look like crap and be unreadable the moment they get dirty.

Hey bro I don't like the twist locking system on these. I prefer the ball more myself. It seems that the twist always doesn't work and/or is to much of a pain to get to lock. When they are new they work ok but as they get older they mess up. With the ball they just plain snap on/off much better and hold better. Good luck with them. Later

I just checked these on Amazon Australia and for a price comparison USD$25 is at present exchange rates AUD$38. These same items cost AUD$60 or USD$39. I just wish they came with a tube of Anusol to ease the pain when we get shafted so badly on prices down here. Drill Doctor 750X USD$159. In Oz, AUD$584 or USD$379. Someone has an excessive markup and I guess if we have hemorrhoids they will never fall out due to being screwed so hard and often with the prices here.
