The mistake you guys made in all of this is that you don't have a store to sell some of the stuff. You could have made a couple thousand dollars easy in a second hand store for sale. The stuff you destroyed was absolutely asinine. He went into this for all the wrong reasons...

For future reference. Don't toss the fabric, yarn, and sewing stuff. Throw it all in a box or tote and put it on marketplace for $25. My girlfriend is a quilter, crafter, scrapbook. She is always buying material and other assorted stuff off marketplace. It's kind of like a guy who buys a part for a car he doesn't own because it's a great deal, and he'll use it on something later or resell or trade it.

A skein of yarn is an easy $2 insta-sell. And unlike some items, no matter how many skeins you have, you can always get a minimum of $2. Might not sound like much, but it's basically cash in hand -- throw them in a box until you're ready to cash out; easy to store.

My father started a construction business in the early 90’s that my brother and I eventually took over in 2010 and he had bought so many tools and equipment that he had 11 massive storage units completely filled with 20 of every single tool in the world!! We decided to keep them and use them to start a Habitat for Humanity branch in our community, which ended up making us spend a lot of time around that storage facility and purchasing several auctioned units that were extremely profitable to the point where we started a whole business around storage auctions and estate sale auctions and since 2016 that endeavor has become as profitable as the massive construction business is because we only have 6 employees and one clerk and use my restored barn as the storefront and office! Now I will say that most of the profit is in online Estate sales and property auctions and not just storage units but I have bought a unit that had a 1970 Camaro in it and also found $100K gun collection in a unit!

When I was first disabled my family and a couple friends got into buying and selling storage units. A couple lessons we learned were 1. Wear gloves because you never know what you will find (won't tell the details on what taught my wife that lesson, lol). 2. It's a lot more work than you expect. 3. You have to judge the unit by what you can see and not speculate when bidding. Never assume a box has the item in it too.

I didn't even care about the "valuable" stuff it's just the irreplaceable family stuff and paperwork. Stuff that has absolutely no value to anyone but myself. I had that unit for 12yrs and you'd think they would've at least made an inquiry or 2 about me. The one I have now is on autopay and I have 3 different contacts listed just in case. Definitely my fault for not planning a contingency 🤷‍♂️

@ That was just a scratch... I'm on the Straight and Narrow Path friend. And I dont plan budging from it... Yah bless & keep you and yours as well. "My son, if thou come to serve YHUH, prepare thy soul for temptation. Set thy heart aright, and constantly endure, and make not haste in time of trouble. Cleave unto Him, and depart not away, that thou mayest be increased at thy last end. Whatsoever is brought upon thee take cheerfully, and be patient when thou art changed to a low estate. For gold is tried in the fire, and acceptable men in the furnace of adversity. Believe in Him, and He will help thee; order thy way aright, and trust in Him. Ye that revere YHUH, wait for His mercy; and go not aside, lest ye fall. Ye that revere YHUH, believe him; and your reward shall not fail. Ye that revere YHUH, hope for good, and for everlasting joy and mercy. Look at the generations of old, and see; did ever any trust in YHUH, and was confounded? or did any abide in His revereance, and was forsaken? or whom did He ever despise, that called upon Him? For YHUH is full of compassion and mercy, longsuffering, and very pitiful, and forgiveth sins, and saveth in time of affliction. Woe be to fearful hearts, and faint hands, and the sinner that goeth two ways! Woe unto him that is fainthearted! for he believeth not; therefore shall he not be defended. Woe unto you that have lost patience! and what will ye do when YHUH shall visit you? They that revere YHUH will not disobey His Word; and they that love Him will keep His ways. They that revere YHUH will seek that which is well, pleasing unto Him; and they that love Him shall be filled with the Law. They that revere YHUH will prepare their hearts, and humble their souls in His sight, Saying, We will fall into the hands of YHUH, and not into the hands of men: for as His majesty is, so is His mercy." 🔥💙👐🏽❤️🔥 Still working on the "cheerfully" part... Blessings!

Love this video. I used to manage a storage facility, but I've been flipping units for 30+ years. When I lived in Detroit there was an elderly man who drove a Chevy Astro with only enough space for him. When he showed up, most people left, he seem to have endless pockets. And last I knew of him he had 5 or 6 huge warehouses in the worst part of Detroit and kept and stored every single item.

All those tubs holding a lot of the junk all together could be some money. Years ago while I was still in the Marine Corps Reserves, I worked with the Toys For Tots program. The single most requested item was a bicycle. I was also a Cub Scout leader at the time. The several Dens of our Pack collectively brought in 7 bicycles and helmets for me to take to the Toys For Tots center. All the guys at the center called me that year's hero. Not many folks can donate that much, but as a group, it can be a God send for the under privileged.

I lost a storage unit once. I had gone to a rehab facility. Day after I came home, I went to the storage place with money in hand to pay it up. They wouldn't take mey money because the unit was already listed for auction. My sister went to auction and was out bid on the unit by a friend of the facility owner. We saw him hand that man some money back. Pretty sure he knew that was my sister and didn't want her to get it. Idk, it was a weird situation. As for me, I've been clean for almost 8 years now. To this day, I still think about things that were in that unit. It was everything I owned at the time.

Storage units are kind of famous for that. Sometimes they 'have an error' with their payment system and you get registered as having not paid and they wont inform you. They go through units and pull out the most expensive stuff then put them up for auction. And yeah they usually have someone upping the bid prices. Shady stuff.

I have opened a LOT of Elite Trainer Boxes in my days and when I've gotten all the cards out, I keep the empty ones for storage(storing the bulk cards). I have quite a few. It may looked sealed but please use your tiny minds for a second and realize that resealing something with plastic wrap is not hard to do, especially if you're a business owner trying to sell empty ETBs for $2.99 which is says on the top. Which is a pretty good deal if you really need a place for your bulk cards. Ig. It's not worth $20-30. It's not $20 easy. It's barely worth $1. I've tossed plenty in the trash.

a lot of things they threw away were worth money. The problem is that they had no plan of what to do with such items and rather than doing research to maximize profit they disreaded it. That begs the question of why buy storages in the first place. Most people who buy storages have a means of knowing what they buy.

@@wizarddragon 500+ worth of profit was thrown away in that rock alone, not to mention the 1k+ worth of profit they sent to the dump. Why the hell is he trying this? It's not like he has any idea what he is doing. He knows how to do many things and that mean he should know better then to go outside his comfort zone because he losses profit etc even veiws, this is his lively hood now and he isn't caring about risking it. Even a 10k drop in veiws/ subscribers etc can fuck him over heavily because that could be the straw that breaks the camels back.
