Errol has good communication skills at least. I just don't buy into this whole "life revolving around women thing". Elon has gone through trouble with women, and I think it is a reflection of his home life. Errol should take accountability in how divorce affects kids. Even just a little would go a long way.

I had the perception that Errol was a literal three headed dragon in a cave somewhere in South Africa (he still may be) But After a couple of these clips, my gut feeling tells me that he is not to the extent of a monster that he is being made out to be. Lot of inconsistencies in Elon & Maye's version of their horrific lives they led in SA. abuse etc.. Always 3 sides to every story his/ hers and the truth. Nice to hear the other side. Have to read between the lines. Its the trend in today's society that every successful person came from very humble beginnings. To overcome adversity & now is this strong successful person despite all this. Its like the mantra of the rich & famous. The family seems to have fared very well despite their awful home life. Poverty, abuse etc.. difficult lives & overcoming all this to succeed makes for a much better selling point. And much more interesting than "I had the means & was afforded opportunities & I made use of it." to succeed. Wish more people would speak truth than fabrication 🙄

The Afrikaans and English people stayed apart because of the Anglo Boer War. Today they are one people mostly. Maybe Errol should have focused on a more English University for his children. The Afrikaans people are stoic Protestant Huguenots, the English less so. Thank you - fascinating content

My dad was English and my mom Afrikaans, I am Elon's age, went to an Afrikaans school and had no issues with getting girls, thanks to my mom. The English guys were always a bit on the sensitive side then. Afrikaners grew up pretty rough and outdoor and in general they were physically larger. Pretoria being one of the large University cities had a very healthy amount of students which meant a very strong young Afrikaner male dominated culture since female intakes where lower. In the 80's in South Africa it was considered normal for a wife to be a housewife. So it makes sense that he was slapped around a bit, we still had history teaching us in school how the English killed thousands of woman and children and burned down our great grandparent's farms when they were starting to loose the Anglo-Boer war. A really cowardly move that will always leave a bitter taste.

As an American it is very hard to imagine such things and sentiments still lingering in these recent decades but I can totally understand from a historical standpoint. Immigrants coming to the United States were fighting over territories and lands for many years in the past as well. While I had very little knowledge in the past about South Africa, it was when I lived in the South of France and encountered a young South African man about 7 years ago telling me how he was so surprised how all ethic groups get along (well at least on the surface, to a tourist) and live in the same neighborhoods. He said something like in S.A. he wouldn’t dare to go out at night and was surprised to see how ‘black people’ were calm and non threatening in France. That was eye opening for me, and he was young too, like 18-20ish. From a historical standpoint I think human beings have always been fighting for resources(sadly, women were seen as a type of resource in the past) and before mass contact with other groups/tribes/ethnicities and huge leap in advancement of technology (internet,airplanes etc), it was hard for people to understand that in the end we are all just human beings and how our common denominator is more similar than different.
