I accidentally overflowed the tank and my unit was not pleased with it. Your video saved me a lot of frustration and headache especially since I'm a doctor above the arctic circle- I don't have a ton of time to take care of my patients and do my notes and still take care of myself on top of that so having a dishwasher that works is important to me. Thank you so much for this video because it saved me from a bad time

I had an "I Love Lucy" moment with mine and water and suds back up everywhere. I opened the door and suds started pouring out! The machine started blinking 'E4'. I unplugged the machine, prayed, took a deep breath and then watched your tutorial. Tilting the machine did not work. But I did pull out the dishes and tried again with just plain water. Somehow; it worked this time. Your calmness and simple trouble shooting helped me think things through and not panic.Thank you so much! :)

Before I found your video I poured two cups of vinegar in the top and let it sit for about an hour. Per your instructions I turned the drain to the sink took off hose. Then I kept the water filling on the top and it kept draining. I cut the water it drained a little while longer and reset itself. Back to normal thank you so much. I will cut my pods in half from now on you made a good point. Also it will make it cheaper which is also a good thing. You are my hero!

E4 midea countertop - I had exactly the same issue described, that is I emptied and reloaded, and filled the water well manually before the air circulation of the prior cycle had finished. E4 code and no functionality. Power off and on didn't work on its own. With power off, I removed the dish rack and drain in the base, drained out the water for the next load, then tipped it to the right hand side and about 2 cups of water poured out. I then dried it off on the outside and all around. Turned it back on at power, switched it on, E4 code gone, no water alert sounded so refilled the well and good as gold again!!! Awesome.

You helped me troubleshoot my E1 error code and now E4!! Thank you so much for breaking this down in a way that I could easily digest. I thought I had fixed my E4 issue on my own but whenever I plugged it back in, the E4 code flashed and the dishwasher kept trying to run a cycle. I was able to pull up the filter trap area and saw standing water in there, I check for tube kinks and what really saved me was tilting it to get all of that water out. I never would have thought to do that. Thank you so much! You saved me from having to call my plumber to fix it.

It's recommended with these small machines to use powder or dishwasher liquid (gel) instead of tablets for all rapid programs under an hour! Tablets are mainly designed to slowly breakdown and are used best on intensive- and eco- programs this will prevent future E4's I really enjoyed your video, you've helped so many people 👍

Cascade gel has worked MAGIC on my countertop machine. I screwed up my washer though when I put Dawn soap on my coffee pot to soak it. Instead of getting it all out I just put it in for a 24 minute rinse cycle. I can’t believe that small amount of Dawn spray bubbled up the way it did 🤣 I won’t be doing that ever again so thanks for helping me get it back track!

Great repair video. I have the same Farberware Dishwasher. I did have to turn it upside down to empty the fresh water tank. Just turning it on it's side did not work. Daniel, you are a star. In the UK we have a similar machine with a slightly different front and name. We got an error code 4 this morning, so we've followed your advice and are currently at the stage of running fresh water through. I think you are right about amount of detergent causing an issue a s it has already pumped out 500ml of lemon smelling milky coloured water.

Paper towel: I have this dishwasher as well, I have cleaned it like this: once a week I take out the filter in the bottom like Daniel has and use my spray nozzle from the faucet to get out all the gunk. Once a month I use a full cycle and use some white cleaning vinegar and baking soda. I pour the vinegar in through the top and sprinkle the baking soda inside the dishwasher on the bottom. No dishes in it, take out the rack as well and do a full cycle. I dilute the vinegar with water. Two pitchers full of water. The third pitcher is half full of water and half vinegar. Not sure if that answers your question. I’ve had this dishwasher for almost a year. I run it at least every day at least twice a day. So far, no error messages (fingers crossed).

thanks, it was helpful. I had an E4 on a similar dishwasher, there are a lot of rebranded models seems they come from midea brand. I guess I got the E4 due to a temporary faillure of the tank overflow sensor, I was filling the tank manually and never heard the alarm as usual, then E4 came. Since I was suspecting a stuck floating sensor I removed the covers. It is not intuitive. I want to share it. In my case, there are two screws on the top side inside the washing chamber. After removing these screws, the top panel can be removed and the back panel too. To remove the side panels, there are two screws on the top and four on the back, they are easy to find. At this point if one want to run a cycle it is needed to seal the holes of the first two screws removed. Tape in my case did not work so I used a bit of hot glue. At the end everything worked fine and what I did was taking out all the residual water that was in, way better than a broken part!

For E4 tilt it left and right a few times and dry up all the excess water underneath it and that usually sorts it, that's pretty quick solution for E4. E1 was solved by putting 500ml of Quick Descaler by HG with the water in the top and that solved it!! That solution came out of another comment on this channel that said to use white vinegar (chemical not cooking type) and when i couldn't find white vinegar at the store we found HG Quick Descaler for £3 for 500ml and that did it! You know if you need to descale it when the flow of water trickles in slowly from the little hole on left, it should be pouring in almost horizontally, so the little trickle is a sign there is limescale in the inlet water tank area which reduces the pressure of water coming in to dishwasher. Hope that all helps! :)

Ok so i just ordered this, i have somewhat of a different model as its not see through but it had that damn E4 code out of the box. even if i had it powered down it decided to power back on and beep at me. i did what you said and tilted it to its side and then (not sure if i was supposed to) turned it on, sure enough no beep! there was a very small amount of water that came out but it was neglegible imo. now i got it on cleaning like 2 little pans, few cups and like 3 silverwares SO we will see if it holds up and doesn't flood the house (knock on wood) thanks man! these guys should hire you to be their CEO of farberware lol :) ill update this later incase the e4 comes back

I would be curious as to how many have had problems with detergent pods. The pod I have been using fits neatly into the small square in the door so I thought it was doing fine. Until I had an E1 error code. I used the syringe method of pushing white vinegar into the inlet where water shoots from the reservoir into the dishwasher area. It worked for a complete cycle. The next cycle of washing dishes the E1 error code came on again. I also noticed that there were way more suds than the first two cycles so I think detergent residue is collecting from one cycle to the next and then becomes a problem. I'm going to try a liquid detergent next time and see if that improves things. I will also do a rinse without any dishes as you suggested in this video. Thanks for you wonderful videos. It really is great of you to do this and you explain it so well. I want to add that the very first time I used it, I guess I must have missed the alarm that it was full because it overflowed all over the counter and then onto the floor. I didn't trust it after that so I took it outside and used it the very first time. That time, I did not miss the beep letting me know that it was full. I haven't had a repeat of that since.

Hello, I just wanted to know if there was other troubleshooting solutions than those we could find on the manual or online. My dishwasher does not display any error message but starts by filling up with water and then the timer starts to count down but nothing is spinning. It has worked perfectly for 1,5 years but now is not working anymore. I tried to force drain multiple times and to clean the filter and look for obstruction under the filter but nothing seems wrong. I suspect a faulty pump. Is there any way to repair it? Thanks for the help. Tom

I was a dummy and grabbed the wrong bottle of detergent, yup it was the dawn bottle. FYI mine is a magic chef but I'm realizing after watching several vids that they all have the same innards, it's just the name and outside that's different. I hadn't realized this until I got the angry beeping and opened it up to be welcomed by a wall of bubbles... I emptied out the dishwasher of everything: dishes, the rack, and the screen. I had to scoop out the bubbles and constantly run water through it to wash away the bubbles. The error however wouldn't go away. After some research and watching this video (thank you by the way!!!) I decided to try removing the drain hose and tipping it backwards. I seen the small amount of bubbles still left in iit to tell me I didn't get them all out, prolly from the float that you mentioned. I hooked everything back up and plugged it back in. To my surprise it wasn't angry any more and showed the normal screen. I'm about to load it back up (with the correct dish soap this time) and go back to it. Thank you.

also is there a self clean option on it? i know ppl that have other counter top dishwashers have to do like a dishwasher clean like 1nce a month (sometimes more) probs running it on hot water and using Finish and Jet Dry Dishwasher Cleaner would be good just for any calcium and other build ups going on, and just for your overall health of your dishwasher. how often do you have to do it with yours?

Hi, I filled the tank but the faucet alarm didn't disappear and did not beep. Do you know what should I do?

Hi Daniel. Loved your reviews on this product! It's been a while since you have bought this and I was wondering if you've experienced any leaking from your unit? Do you still use it? Any comment on its reliability? I'm moving into an apartment that doesn't have a washer.

Thankyou for this video. I'm looking into getting a midea which is similar to yours and has the same issues I've seen in reviews. So I will be able to fix it if I run into this issue.

Hi! I found a different solution to this issue, I took out the metal tray with a filter from the inside of the dishwasher, and turned out that the mesh filter was completely clogged with tiny food particles, which stopped the water from draining, I washed it with a brush and with a tiny washing brush for reusable straws, and the issue hasn’t happened again! Now I just wash this filter every once a week or so, only takes 2 minutes. I guess using a hot water cycle does a similar thing, but it is not as thorough!

Have used only 1/2 tablet and still got a E4 display. Would a liquid detergent help? Leiwis mG
