hey, I bought this mini dishwasher 15months ago, but the function buttons are out of order. And I've seen quite many people report the same issue that soon after 12months it's not working. Make sure you purchase an extra warranty as Cookology only provides a 12months warranty.

I grew up in middle-class North America, with a dishwasher my parents rarely used, forcing my sister and I to wash the dishes by hand. When I moved out on my own, as a fan of old Maytag appliances, I scored 1970 WU-600. The lights would dim when the motor started, the floor would shake, and the thing would blast fried eggs off a poorly-seasoned cast iron frying pan. Easily the most effective dishwasher I have ever had, and still used less than half the water of filling my sink. These days, I have a little Danby countertop machine, a DDW621WDB. It claims 6 place settings, but in bachelor cooking, I typically run it once a day in the evenings. It's big enough to take my 6 qt Instant Pot and the cookware required to make my meal, as well as a few plates and all the cutlery I've needed. I run powder detergents, and with a 15L total water consumption per load, it's nice to be able to control the exact amount of powder I put into it. It is everything a dishwasher-experienced person like me expects, just smaller. The filter and the sump of mine looks identical to your Farberware and my friend's full-size Samsung dishwasher. Mine does not have a tank, it requires a faucet adapter, so don't try to run it on a pull-out faucet or one with a side-sprayer. I do like your little Farberware machine, it is smaller than mine, but it would be great for a lot of people. I'm thinking of Manhattan apartments and RVs. :) For people who have never had a dishwasher, get one! Your habits will change - ie. you need to have dishes that fit well into the racks of your machine, and you need to have enough dishes that you're not always finding that your plate is in the dishwasher. The goal is to wait until the dishwasher is full before you run it. Also, get creative with your loading - it's just a machine that sprays hot water, after all. The machine saves a tremendous amount of time and energy as it does basic drudgery while you get the time for more creative pursuits. Bare cast iron cookware should never go into the dishwasher unless you intend on re-seasoning it properly. Having an old dishwasher set up in the basement is great for cleaning the cat's litter box, car parts, and anything else which can be washed with a hot water spray.

Thanks for such a detailed review, I have been looking at this machine now for several days and wanting to know more about it and your video helped with missing pieces of info I wasn’t seeing elsewhere. I have a personal tip for you if you follow it your be happy in the long run. Putting knives in the dish washer is a No No the Detergent will dull down your blades and or ruin good knives quickly. We had a rule in our house when we had a full size dishwasher No knives. Standard tableware knives are okay, just steak knives and chef knives will get dull very quickly! Again so appreciate you doing a great job of this machine. I will be purchasing it soon. Congratulations on your new Home!

Just set mine up and am thrilled. Your video was very helpful in my choice. Have to use the pour in the water mode (to avoid having to call 911 for my apartment manager when she goes into full panic mode). It is quiet, no splashing of the drain hose and will be so helpful as I have limited standing up time without pain. Apartment rules say "no installations" which means hooking up to plumbing and let her argue all she wants against a simple countertop appliance that saves so much water which is included in the rent.

I have one similar to this one and it does come in handy. I think that the left upper rack was tilted up and stopping the spray arm from turning. There is a spray arm on the upper inside ceiling area that cleans the tops of things.

I bought this exact dishwasher about 1 year ago. I LOVE IT! I went tiny about 2 and a half years ago but I hated washing dishes. This is an excellent dishwasher for the size. Fits perfectly on the counter under my standard height cabinets. Dishes always come out clean. I like the rapid cycle, at only 40 minutes, my dishes come out clean. I prefer the liquid detergent, liquid works well with the hard water in my town. That being said. I have nit had any hard water issues nor spots on my dishes. Just an excellent product! I bought off of Amazon as it was sold out through QVC! ;)

Hi Daniel! I have had this exact same unit for almost 2 years. Use it almost daily. Still works great! I like the 'baby care' cycle for sanitizing. I bought mine from QVC. The hose hookup wasn't difficult at all. I can't recommend this unit enough. Consider this unit for folks who can't stand to do dishes for long periods of time. It is small, large items won't fit. However, day to day dishes, glasses, and silverware come out really clean.

@@joelwickman8765 Hi Joel. I have Corelle enhancements dinnerware that is over 20 years old. To answer your question, I pulled out a ruler. My dishes have a 9 inch plate and a 10 1/4 inch plate. I normally only use the 9 inch plates. So... I tried the 10 1/4 inch plate and it does NOT stand up in the dish rack. I would guess that 10 inches would also be too large....especially with the water nozzle in the center top of the dishwasher. But the 9 inch fit fine. Also, my dishwasher is still running strong. Farberware DOES sell a larger unit, that I have not used, but might be a better choice for larger plates. I chose the smaller unit because it can stand alone. The larger unit HAS to have constant water supply. Also, I didn't have room for the larger unit. Also, to be clear, my plates are round. There are a lot of square plates out there now. Hope this answers your question. If not, please ask. By the way. I just found a video of my dishwasher and it claimed to clean plates up to 12 inches in diameter. The way they did it was to lean....tilt...the plates to the side to fit. As I had mentioned, my 10 1/4 plates did not fit standing straight up. You COULD lean the plates....but you lose space to wash other things. The leaning plates took up 2 or 3 times the space of standing upright.

Thinking of buying one of these for my grandmother, who has had no dishwasher for my entire 30 years of life! Apparently she had a roll away one years ago, but I think at this point in time, it would be too much for her to maneuver around her small kitchen. Plus, my grandmother is super small haha. One thing we do to Dave on energy is: we run the “rapid” wash everytime. It cleans even baked on egg plates! I open the door and you'll out the rack to let the dishes air dry. In CA that takes less than an hour and nice saved on the electric bill ❤️

This helped me alot. I couldn't figure out why it was just giving me the flashing water spout and I just needed more water. On my box someware it turns out the silverware actually go up and down through the small slots instead of sideways! How weird that is 😂

For those wondering about leaving the door cracked open for ventilation, there are vents at the bottom and on the sides. The door only stays fully open or closed but it is a small enough appliance that even with he door open it won't take up a lot of room. I use a piece of twine tied around the unit in order to keep the door ajar, not because I have experienced an issue with condensation, my past experience of appliances means I err on the side of caution.

I’ve heard folks complain that they don’t have a real way of getting help if problems arise down the road so that’s why I just made my first error code video to help point out what might be the root problem. I’ll keep making videos if/as problems arise and I try to personally fix it. We’ll see how it goes! It’s crazy how it can be sold in such a wide variety of countries like that. And seriously, thank you for subscribing! I hope to share more and more items that have worked out well for me around the house as a bachelor and now a married man, as of the 20th! Daniel, I found taking that filter of the top and using a wide neck funnel to fill with water, SO much easier..... no splashing and much quicker! Don't really know why the top filter is even there... great little machine though that washes and dries very well.

So excited to get this! My hands had started cracking open from too much hand washing that I needed an ointment from my derm! Money’s a little tight right now so I’ll have to wait to get it. But I’m sure it’ll definitely be worth the investment!

@@ItAllFadestoBlack Trhey definitely wash anything as well, and DRY ,if not better than a big machine, but you could only fit one or two pots in at a time and not much else. still well worth the money of you can't for some reason buy a big machine.

I have a full size dishwasher that’s broken and because of a parts shortage I might not have it for a while. Was just curious to see what kind of mini dishwashers were out there these days and found your video, great review. I’m not gonna buy it but it’s cool to see how fat counter top / small dishwasher units have come.

Tysm for this! The instructions were not clear as to how to attach the drain hose. I’m mechanically deficient and this really helped. Lol.
