So i just got my dual fire. Got it connected to wifi, did the update and it said it was succesful. The screen changed to er 1 on both sides. So i took a chance and presed the power buton, the grill turned on set at 350, i quickly pushed the power button again and it turned off. I will load pellets in tomorrow and try to do burn in as it 10:20 p.m jere and -3°. Supposed to get up to 8° tomorrow. Should i put pellets directly into burn pot as well as auger feed?

You will also get an error two when you are lazy like me and did not clean out the hot pan in a while....too much ash build up. I cleaned it out and was back up and running in no time. Thanks for this video and thanks for gracing the world with your awesome pit and incredible customer service.

Where is the explanation about how to & what to do for the 3 different error 2 codes??? I've checked and I have an error 2 code & indication it's the ignitor. Now what?

Just came home and found Er3 RTD on my screen. Supposed to grill for a party today and I’m stuck. Tested the plug, no issue. Plugged back in, pressed power while booting up. Fan kicks on and RTD reads 700, er3 comes back up. Just had a few days of rain, so not sure if something got wet. No broken wires. Not sure what to do.

I am in the same boat! Nada zip! I don't even get the fan to kick on. Can't reset, etc. I know your post was from 10 months ago, but let me know what you found out. Many thanks!

Hi Roger. I reached out to ReqTec and spoke with someone in customer service. They told me it was an issue with the thermocouple (grill temp probe inside of the grill). They shipped me out a new one at no cost. Great customer service from these guys. Give that a shot. It’s 2 wires that plug into the controller. Easy swap.

@@Erickingarthur Hi Eric - I thought I'd give it one last try before calling RecTec, so I sprayed Simple Green on the probe and wiring, and damn it if it didn't dissolve all the crap that's accumulated over the years on the probe. Took about 5 seconds and the er3 code disappeared and it fired up! Thanks for the help!

Or an error 1 if you’re like me and live in a hot hot area and try to start it up at less than 325. Easy fix. Light it up and go at least 350 and it will clear the code.

Totally useless video for me. No error codes at all. No lights, no screen, nothing. Good outlet, just tested. No visible defect. How nice, just recently out of warranty also.
