Zakir Naik makes a lot of errors and logical fallacies in this video which I will highlight. For someone who qualifies most answers with “I’m a medical doctor”, he sure has no idea how science works - as evidenced by his views on evolution here.

6:10 simple answer is surface tension. You can think of it like , you have to apply a certain force to break the surface of water of some area but this force is very small so most of the things breaks the surface but it is enough to hold a light metal blade with its surface parallel to water surface which will apply very little force per unit area on water surface.

Irrespective of anyone’s beliefs or lack of belief, evolution ie one species giving birth to another species has not been observed. We have observed mutations in humans and bacteria. But not the kind of evolution I’ve mentioned. So evolution can only be considered a theory not a fact or law. If we want to call something a fact, it has to be observable, we should be able to experiment with it.

@@AzamatBagatov413 there are evidences for evolution like fossils that go exactly with how evolution is hypothesised to carry out, vestigial organs, DNA data etc. Creationists always seem to ignore such evidences and then blabber how there isn’t any. It’s funny how creationists demand rigorous proof/evidence for evolution but when it comes to their religion a book and some baby logic is sufficient. Oh the irony. For example, gravity Gravity is 9.8 m/sec2. This is a fact because we have observed things falling at that acceleration. Compare that with evolution. Have you seen a species giving birth to another species? Fossils is not a direct evidence. There's a lot of interpretation required. Existence of fossils is a fact. Claiming that the fossil is a common ancestor of human and other animal is an assumption, a theory, because neither you nor me have seen that species giving birth to humans or any other species.

Theory: Relying on a few facts, we make assumptions. We might see evidence,( or the evidence might be incomplete evidence,) but our assumptions can be wrong. Eg Fact: Human hands have five fingers Fact: chimpanzees have five fingers Theory: because humans and chimpanzees have similar body structure, both have a common ancestor. But we haven't *seen* any species turn into another species. We *assume* based on fossils. We see fossils that have similar skeleton to human body. We assume it is a common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees. We can't be 100% sure until we see it happen with our own eyes and repeat it once again with predictable results. If the scientists can in labs cause humans to evolve "again" that would be believable. So, as far as I'm concerned, I don't believe it until I see it.

We collect evidence and supporting arguments, for eg. The horizon or sea shore line, and if u studied phy in 11th grade, u also know the reason why most celestial bodies are spherical due to gravity. Zakir Naik said the theory of evolution is just a theory, tomorrow he might also say theory of relativity is also just a theory.

Theories can be proven to be false Read about superseded scientific theories. We can call something a scientific fact when we can observe it, experiment with it, it's repeatable and get predictable results. No one has seen one species turn into another species. We have seen a fossil. Existence of fossil is a fact. Existence of humans is a fact. Existence of chimpanzees is a fact. Saying that the fossils is the common ancestor is an assumption because we haven't seen the fossil give birth to humans or chimpanzees. We don't know if it was a common ancestor or not. We have no observable evidence.

Was about to comment this! Surface tension should be the right answer. The blade is so light that it has not been able to penetrate the surface tension of water. Hence it stays on top. But once it breaks, it will drop to the bottom of the cup.

Different body forms exist because the inhabitant of a particular body form that is the soul is satisfies his desires in that form. So, these specific body features are made available by God, to souls who want to enjoy in a particular way. This can be clearly observed looking at various species. I am a muslim and got to know zakir naik early in my life, but his arguments seemed hollow to me very early on. I have in general a problem with anyone who acts as an expert on everything. I am doing a PhD and I would never be as confident in my own field as zakir naik is in almost every field, which for me is a sign of intellectual dishonesty or ignorance. I prefer to believe science whenever I find a conflict between my faith and science. And not to forget zakir naik did very little to counter extremists in spite of having a platform to do that, infact he many times presented religious extremists in positive light. I have listened to many of his videos, there is nothing of intellectual or scientific value in them. He should stick to teaching muslims about how to take bath, eat, pray etc, his ventures into politics and science have been disastrous all along.
