I mean, let's not act like Jack was not in the brink of sanity already before the punch and betrayal. The one thing Lilith did fully wrong I would say would be failing to confirm the kill, but given the situation, a room full of vault hunters loyal to Jack, and her assuming him a regular human which she killed many with a phase shift punch in B1 it stands to reason why she left quickly, though maybe it could have shown better in the cut scene.

We need The History of Elpis. Every game it appears in it looks different. In BL1 it’s just a normal moon, in BL2 it has cracks and has Helios orbiting it, in BL: TPS you’re on it, and in BL3 it almost hits Pandora. Presumably if he have a BL4 it will have the firehawk symbol on it for most of the game too

From Reddit : These days I find it’s become very popular to make out Lilith to be some kind of dreadful person, and I always thought the amount of heat she gets to be absurd. So allow me to boldly go against the circlejerk. Facts about Lilith that need to be known: -Lilith does not take credit for the events of BL2. She has literally 0 dialogue where she claims to have done something she didn’t. She is credited by Ava for killing Jack, which is an option you can actually take in BL2. Just killing him. No credit was ever taken for single handedly stopping him or The Warrior. Merely ending his life. There is no glory stealing here, Gearbox merely chose to make letting Lilith kill Jack be canon. -Lilith was not useless in BL2. She waged a war single handedly on the bandit clans for Roland’s benefit and was the reason Sanctuary did not just get overrun by them. She saved Sanctuary from Jack after Angel betrayed you and therefore the reason the Raiders weren’t just wiped out right then. Her interference on the attack on Angel’s AI Core is what enabled you to be able to shut her down. Lilith getting getting captured is not what led to The Warrior awakening, Jack would have just continued to use Angel to charge the key and awaken The Warrior under much more favourable circumstances. And when she had the collar around her neck and ordered to kill you, she mustered the strength to teleport you to safety instead. -Lilith did not single-handedly create Handsome Jack. It is made clear that Jack was already a morally flawed person even before TPS, having burned down orphanages, shot people for looking at Moxxi, blackmailed his way to his position and most of all having enslaved his own daughter for his own gain. The crossing of him in that game was not Lilith’s plan, it was Moxxi’s. Lilith was no more guilty in that plot than Roland was, who somehow always gets a free pass in the blame for this situation. And ultimately, it was not unreasonable that Moxxi, Roland and Lilith would not want this megalomaniac pointing a discount Death Star laser at their home. -Lilith trying to have Athena killed does not make her a villain or a terrible person. It was a moment of anger that she would apologise for. She acknowledged her mistake. People make mistakes. And since then, she has carried a much more tame and level-headed personality. This one moment of weakness as a leader should not be what defines her morality, especially when we know Lilith never wanted to be Commander in the first place. -Lilith standing her ground against The Calypsos was reasonable. Lilith is the Commander of the Crimson Raiders and has a reputation as The Firehawk. She was not going to leave her people and their ship at the mercy of the COV by fleeing to preserve herself. -Lilith HAS saved Pandora. She, along with the others, stopped The Destroyer in BL1. She helped stop Zarpedon in TPS who was going to destroy both Elpis and most of Pandora. She stopped The Destroyer from emerging in BL3 and gave her life to keep it sealed. It is dishonest to say that she has never done such heroics. Is Lilith a bit of a dumbass? Yes. Is she a great leader? No. No one else would take Roland’s place, and Lilith herself didn’t want to be Commander either. Lilith only took it because no one else would, and her inexperience as being a Commander is as a result of her having to step up when no one else would despite her lack of experience. People need to stop pretending that Lilith is a terrible person. She isn’t. Lilith is a decent person, who means well. She came to Pandora as a loner, and found friends and love on Pandora. Her putting faith in Moxxi over Jack in TPS was understandable. Her reasons to have strong feelings for the likes of Roland to drive her to ignore his wishes when it came to Angel was not due to being an asshole, but because she didn’t want to trust his life on the words of Angel who had lied and betrayed them before. Her moment of anger to kill Athena was due to the pain of lost friends and using her as a scapegoat. Again, something she apologised for once she cooled down. She is flawed, and that is completely fine. She admits that she can be a bitch. If she wasn’t flawed, someone as significant as her would no doubt be getting hate for being a Mary Sue as I’d come to expect of reception to female characters nowadays. Lilith is a fine character. And the circlejerk hate for her is getting batshit insane.

Since I started playing BL3 I have really got hooked even more on Borderlands and mainly the storylines of the epic characters within the Borderverse. I played 2 a fair bit, and also the Pre Sequel. I had the handsome collection if I remember in a sale on steam and I loved them both. I also played the telltale one Tales from the Borderlands, but 3 has really gripped me. I seem to really enjoy the lore and backstories behind everything. I really want to go back to where it all started and play the first one, just for the story line stuff I haven't seen yet. I'd love to do a lockdown-weekend-marathon-stream where I go through all of them. Is the first one available on Xbox One these days? Well duh.. Lilith is the main protagonist in the Borderlands series. I do agree though that Maya should've been focused on a lot more frequently. The devs said that from the beginning they knew that Maya will die. If she had to, it could've been done differently. When it comes to Amara, not a lot is known about her. In my opinion, she didn't get big enough introduction. 🤔

Mistake that Lilith made? Jack had an evil plan all along. Since Lilith's a protagonist, of course she won't side with an egomaniac, a barbarian that is Jack. The scariest thing about him was that he believed in his own vision. It's not a bad thing for them not to help him to become a vindictive ruler. Lilith has saved more people than she has killed. Same couldn't be said about Jack. Having to consider all of this, it won't make her a hero, but instead an anti-hero.

NO!!!!! No!! No, no no no no..... . You got literally every single thing right except for that last part. She does not consider herself a little bit of a nerd! She always looks at herself as awkward and pretty much nerdy all the time. My proof is in Borderlands 2 the main story every single one of her side missions has her deliver the instruction in a hesitant way almost as if she doesn't feel fully confident telling you what to do. And the cherry on top is, flirting with Roland before they were an item........ Or at least trying to flirt with rolling. These are Echo Logs you find in one of the very first missions

you forgot one thing about liliths past. its not really that important but i will still mention it. in the 'tiny tina: battle for dragon keep' dlc, in one of the side quest, you collect scrolls that has a question which torgue has to answer so he can be in the game. lilith didnt want him in the game as she thinks he wants to join bcuz of popularity or something. she stated that she was bullied in school for 2 things, first being her siren tattoos. second is playing the game 'bunkers and badasses' which is the game you are in, in the dlc. not important but now i know she went to school. Edit: Sorry, I thought he forgot bcuz I was expecting it at the start of the video, not the end.

Honestly Lilith didn't make the best choices, many of her decisions came back to bite them hard and she should've found someone else to lead them after Roland's death. Great Siren and Vault hunter no doubt but a less than stellar leader.

After playing through all the games again I noticed that Lilith is the cause of most of the troubles we experienced. She refused to listen to Rolands order and not only did it get him killed, it allowed jack to summon the warrior, on top of that she’s kinda the reason why jack wants to destroy pandora, and she kidnapped and attempted to kill Athena even after Brick and Mordecai pled for her not to, and cause she relied on her powers too much she was unable to help the vault hunters or anyone else for most of BL3. And yet she’s everyone’s favorite character. If she was supposed to be a evil character I’d probably like her more but it just doesn’t make sense to me.

atlas Athena was a mercenary. Jack was paying her for her help. As soon as jack started talking about taking over pandora she walked. And if you play as Athena or CL4P they will express their discomfort with jacks decisions after he kills the scientists. Lilith even knew Athena from a BL1 dlc and she helped Athena when she was held captive by bandits, and she was told by Athena that she was a merc doing jobs to make money after Atlas went out of business. Lilith didn’t care, she wanted her dead for simply working with jack even if it was before he was Handsome Jack.
